HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1989-1984 Amends §§ 18.14.050 and 18.14.092, zoning (18.14)ORDINANCE NO. 1984 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AMENDING TITLE 18 (ZONING) OF THE NATIONAL CITY MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF UNITS ALLOWED IN THE RM-1 (MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) ZONE CASE FILE NO.: A-2-89 BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of National City as follows: Section 1. Section 18.14.050 of the National City Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 18.14.050 Purpose of the multifamily (RM-1) residential zone. The purpose of the RM-1 zone is to provide, in accordance with the general plan, for multifamily residential development areas allowing one dwelling unit for each full nineteen hundred (1900) square feet of lot area. Section 2. Section 18.14.092 is amended to read as follows: 18.14.092 Number of dwelling units allowed. The total number of dwelling units allowed is: RS-1 1 RS-2 1 RS-3 1 for each full 5,000 square feet of lot area RS-E 1 RT 2 RMH per State Health and Safety Code Section 18000 et seq. RM-1 1 unit for each full nineteen hundred (1900) square feet of lot area RM-2 per existing development RM-3 determined by planned development permit Section 3. That the City Council has considered previously adopted Negative Declaration No. IS-89-13 together with any comments received during the public review process and finds on the basis of the Initial Study and any comments received that there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a significant effect on the environment and that the adopted Negative Declaration adequately addresses the amendment.
