AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 1812 AND SECTION 7.10.020 OF THE
NATIONAL CITY MUNICIPAL CODE
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
National City that Ordinance No. 1812 and Section 7.10.020 of the
National City Municipal Code are amended to read as follows:
7.10.020 Collection required --Violations
A. Every owner or occupant in charge of any private
property where rubbish, garbage, or refuse is generated shall
subscribe to regular collection service by the city's designated
rubbish hauler, or shall provide for alternate means of
collection individually approved by the City Council.
B. It is unlawful for any owner or occupant in charge
of any private property to permit, suffer, or allow the
accumulation of rubbish, garbage, or refuse on said property for
a period of time in excess of one week.
C. Where a determination cannot readily be made as to
the person or entity in charge of private property, the
responsibility for complying with this section shall rest with
the property owner.

until seven calendar days had elapsed between the days of its introduction
and the days of its final passage, to wit, on 3-15-88

I FURTHER CERTIFY THAT said ordinance was read in full prior to its
final passage or that the reading of said ordinance in full was dispensed
with by a vote of not less than a majority of the members elected to the
Council and that there was available for the consideration of each mem-
ber of the Council and the public prior to the day of its passage a written
or printed copy of said ordinance.
