AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY PURSUANT TO THE LAND USE CODE
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
ON THE EDGE OF LAS PALM7S PARK, NORTH OF
AN ADJACENT CONDOMINIUM SUBDIVISION.
(GP-1-88 AND ZC-1-88)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Goverment Code
of the State of California, proceedings were duly initiated for the
rezoning of the parcels of real property, hereinafter described, and for
the amendment of the General Plan of the City of National City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to legal notice, hearings were held by the Planning
Commission of National City and also by the City Council of National City,
and all persons interested were given the opportunity to appear and be
heard before said Planning Commission and City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of National City has regularly and
duly certified to the City Council its report and recommendation concerning
such rezoning and such amendment; and
HEREAS, the City Council found that on the basis of the Initial Study
and any comments received that there is no substantial evidence that the
project will have a significant effect on the environment and adopted a
proposed Negative Declaration which addresses both said General Plan
amendment and rezoning; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the rezoning consistent with and
necessary to implement the General Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City,
California does ordain as follows:
Section 1. All protests, if any, against said rezoning and said
amendment to the General Plan, and each of them be and hereby are denied
and overruled.
Section 2. That all the real property described below is hereby
rezoned as follows:
From IC -OS (Civic Institutional -Open Space) to RS-2-PUD (Single -
Family Residential -Planned Unit Development) for approximately 0.287 acres
of property located on the edge of Las Palmas Park, north of an adjacent
condominium subdivision, as more fully described in the legal description
attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A" Case File No. ZC-1-88; and
Section 3. That a Notice of Determination shall be filed indicating
that the rezoning will not have a significant effect on the environment.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 28th day of June, 1988.

of an adjacent condominium subdivision.
Legal Description of property:
Peing a portion of Quarter Section 128, Rancho De La Nacion in the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State of California, according to map
thereof No. 166 as filed in the office of the County Recorder of said San
Diego County being described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most westerly corner of Lot 3 of Las Palmas Park Villas as
shown on Map thereof No. 9128, filed in the office of the County Recorder
of said San Diego County on February 27, 1979;
Thence Nortli 44°42'48" West a distance of 54.50 feet;
Thence Nortli 22°34'13" East a distance of 84.93 feet;
Thence South 77°31'34" East a. distance of 103.10 feet;
Thence North 74°05'28" East a distance of 15.00 feet to an angle point in
the northerly line of said lot 3 being South 72°02'22" West a distance of
263.53 feet from the northeasterly corner of said lot 3;
Thence along the northerly line of said Lot 3 South 17°40'53" East a
distance of 60.46 feet, South 72°02'39" West a distance of 134.25 feet to
the PORT OF BEGINNING.

until seven calendar days had elapsed between the days of its introduction

I FURTHER CERTIFY THAT said ordinance was read in full prior to its
final passage or that the reading of said ordinance in full was dispensed
with by a vote of not less than a majority of the members elected to the

or printed copy of said ordinance.
