AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY
PURSUANT TO THE LAND USE CODE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
(GP-1-86 AND ZC-1-86)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Government
Code of the State of California, proceedings were duly initiated for the
rezoning of the parcels of real property, hereinafter described, and for
the amendment of the General Plan of the City of National City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to legal notice, hearings were held by the
Plannning Commission of National City and also by the City Council of
National City, and all persons interested were given the opportunity to
appear and be heard before said Planning Commission and City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of National City has regularly
and duly certified to the City Council its report and has recommended such
rezoning and such amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council found that on
Study and any comments received that there is no

proposed Negative Declaration which addresses
amendment and rezoning; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the rezoning consistent with and
necessary to implement the General Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City,
California does ordain as follows:
Section 1. All protests, if any, against said rezoning and said
amendment to the General Plan, and each of them be and hereby are denied
and overruled.
Section 2. That all the real property described in Exhibit A,
Exhibit B and Exhibit C as attached hereto and made a part of this
ordinance is hereby rezoned as follows:
All of the real property described in Exhibit "A" as attached,
which consists of approximately 0.62 acre of property on the west
side of Palm Avenue, and adjacent street right-of-way,
approximately 190 feet north of Fourth Street, is rezoned from CL
(Limited Commercial) to RM-3-PD (Residential, Senior Citizen
Housing, Planned Development Overlay).

All of the real property described in Exhibit "B" as attached,
which consists of approximately 1.27 acres of property on the east
side of Palm Avenue and adjacent street right-of-way,
approximately 500 feet north of Fourth Street, is rezoned from CL
(Limited Commercial) to IP (Private Institutional) .
All of the real property described in Exhibit "C" as attached,
which consists of approximately 3.65 acres of property on the east
side of Palm Avenue and adjacent street right-of-way,
approximately 100 feet north of Fourth Street, is rezoned from RS-
2 (Residential, Single -Family Small Lot) to IC (Civic
Institutional).
Section 3. That a Notice of Determination shall be filed
indicating that the rezoning will not have,a significant effect on the
environment.
