ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO THE LAND USE CODE
OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Government
Code of California, proceedings were duly initiated for the rezoning of those
parcels of real property hereinafter described, and for the amendment of the
General Plan and Land Use Code of the City of National City, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings were held by the
City Planning Commission of said City and also by the City Council of said
City, and all persons interested were given the opportunity to appear and be
heard before said Planning Commission and said City Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of National City has
regularly and duly certified to the City Council its report and has recommended
such rezoning and such amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City,
California does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: All protests, if any, against said rezoning and said
amendments to the General Plan and the Land Use Code, and each of them, be
and hereby are denied and overruled.
SECTION 2: That all the below described real property is hereby
rezoned as follows:
From OS (Open Space) to IP-PD (Private Institutional, Planned
Development overlay) located north of Division Street, east of
Palm Avenue, and west of Interstate-805 as more fully
described in the legal description attached and made a part
hereof as Exhibit "A" - Case No. ZC-5-84;
From OG-PD (General Commercial -Planned Development
overlay) to RS-2-PUD (Residential Single Family Small Lot,
Planned Unit Development overlay) located on the north side of
Sweetwater Road, approximately 175 feet east of Calmoor
Street to the easterly city boundary as more fully described in
the legal description attached and made a part hereof as
Exhibit "B" - Case File No.ZC-7-84.

Those portions of Lot 70 of a portion of the Rancho Mission
of San Diego (commonly called Horton s Purchase) according to
Map thereof ilo. 2834 filed in the Office of the County Recorder
on March 9, 1878; together with Lot 3 (and portions of Lots 1, 2,
4, 5 and 31) of Scott Terrace according to Map No. 3153 filed
November 4, 1954; also a. portion of Lots 1 and 2 of Miilerton ac-
cording to Map thereof No. 1608, filed in the Office of the County
Recorder November 7 1913; said Lot 3 and above portions of lots
lying within the following description:
Beginning at the Northwesterly terminus of that course snown
SS -"N.b9°31'47"11., 107.30 feet" in Parcel 9 of Relinquishment to
the City of National City No. 24006, recorded August 6th, 1975
as File No. 75-207552 of Official Records of San Diego County;
thence along the northeasterly line of said Relinquishment on
courses (1) through (3) as follows: (1) from a tangent which
bears S.72°15'46"W., along a curve to the right, having a radius
of 30.00 feet, through an angle of 63°58'57", a distance of 33.50
feet; (2) tangent to said curve N.43°45'17"W., 244.18.-feet; (3)
along a tangent curve to the right, having a radius of 599.00
feet, through an angle of 10°57'28", a distance of 114.56 feet;
thence (4) leaving said Northeasterly line and continuing along
said 599.00 foot radius curve, through an angle of 34°49'06", a
distance of 364.01 feet to'the Southerly line of that

said Lot 70 conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded

of said County on 11 May 1869 more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said Quarter Section
100; thence northerly along the east line of said Quarter
Section 100 to the northeast corner of said Parcel 2
in aforesaid Parcel Map No. 8221, the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence, continuing northerly along said east
line 398.55 feet; thence, leaving said east line, westerly
along a line parallel with the north line of aforesaid
Parcel 2 in Parcel Map No. 8221; to an intersection
with the northerly prolongation of the west line of
said Parcel 2; thence, southerly along said prolongation

until seven calendar days had elapsed between the days of its introduction
and the days of its final passage, to wit, on January 8, 1985

I FURTHER CERTIFY THAT said ordinance was read in full prior to its
final passage or that the reading of said ordinance in full was dispensed
with by a vote of not less than a majority of the members elected to the
Council and that there was available for the consideration of each mem-
ber of the Council and the public prior to the day of its passage a written
or printed copy of said ordinance.
I FURTHER CERTIFY that the above and foregoing is a full, true and cor-
rect copy of ORDINANCE NO. 1847 of the City of National City, passed
