HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1981-1746 Salary for mayor and council members (Special)ORDINANCE NO. 1746 (R) AN ORDINANCE FIXING SALARY FOR MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, as follows: 1. Pursuant to the provisions of California Government Code Section 36516.1, the salary of the Mayor of the City of National City is hereby fixed as $16,320 per year, payable in equal monthly installments at the same time as the pay of other appointed and elected of- ficials of the City of National City. The salary increase for the Mayor provided by this ordinance shall take effect from and after the e- ffective date of this ordinance. 2. Pursuant to the provisions of the California Government Code Section 36516.2, the salary of each council- man or councilwoman of the City of National City is hereby fixed at $.4(740.00 per year, payable in equal monthly in- stallments at the same time as the pay of other appointed and elected officials of the City of National City. The salary increase provided for the Council by this ordinance shall take effect from and after the be- ginning of a new term of office of any council member and after the effective date of this ordinance.
