HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1993-2063ORDINANCE NO. 93-2063 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 18 (ZONING) OF THE NATIONAL CITY MUNICIPAL CODE CASE FILE NO. A 1993-2 BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of National City as follows: Section 1. Section 18.14.160.I of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.14.160.I In all residential zones, the use of tarpaulins as temporary or permanent structures, including, but not limited to carports, sheds, lean-tos and patio covers is prohibited. Section 2. Section 18.16.250.D of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.16.250.D The use of tarpaulins as temporary or permanent structures, including, but not limited to carports, shed, or lean-tos is prohibited. Section 3. Section 18.18.140(AA) of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.18.140AA: The use of tarpaulins as temporary or permanent structures, including, but not limited to carports, shed, or lean-tos is prohibited. Section 4. Section 18.58.330 of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.58.330 Perpendicular parking --Additional stall width. For perpendicular parking, two feet shall be added to the width specified in Column B of Table XV (Section 18.58.310) for stalls abutting a building, fence, or other obstruction. Section 5. Section 18.69.035 of the National City Municipal Code is hereby repealed. CONTINUED ON PAGE 2 Ordinance No. 93-2063 Page 2 of 3 Section 6. Section 18.69.030.E of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.69.030.E Location of adult entertainment establishments as listed in Section 18.69.030.A of this code (with the exception of subsection A(11)) within any new or existing retail center shall not require a conditional use permit under Section 18.16.095 of this Code. Section 7. Section 18.14.265 of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.14.265 Maximum area of accessory buildings. On lots developed with a single- family residence, the total cumulative area of all accessory buildings, including but not limited to patios, shacks, and sheds, but not including attached and detached garages, carports and swimming pools, shall not exceed twenty-five percent of the total square footage of the residence. The total cumulative area of all attached and detached garages and carports on a site developed with a single-family residence shall not exceed seven hundred fifty square feet, or twenty-five percent of the total square footage of the residence, whichever is the greater amount. Section 8. Section 18.18.135 of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.18.135 Vehicle storage on City streets by repair establishments. No owner or operator of any garage, body shop, or automobile or truck repair establishment, shall cause or permit the storage on any street or alley, for any period of time, of any vehicle which is pending service or repair. Section 9. Section 18.16.199 of the National City Municipal Code is added as follows: 18.16.199 Vehicle storage on city streets by automobile dealers. No licensed automobile dealer may store vehicles to be offered for sale on any City streets or alley for any period of time. Section 10. Section 18.62.070.D of the National City Municipal Code is amended by deleting subsections 1 and 3 and renumbering the remaining subsection accordingly. CONTINUED ON PAGE 3 Ordinance No. 93-2063 Page 3 of 3 Section 11. Chapter 18.120 of the National City Municipal Code is hereby repealed. Section 12. Section 18.134.050 of the National City Municipal Code is hereby repealed. Section 13. Section 18.134.070 of the National City Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 18.134.070 Appeal procedures. All appeals in enforcement cases shall proceed in the manner set forth in Section 7.32.100 of this code. Section 14. Section 18.112.050 of the National City Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 18.112.050 City Council hearings. Upon receipt of the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the City Council shall hold a public hearing. PASSED and ADOPTED this 27th day of July , 1993. AL- Lij" GEORG H.
