AN ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO LAND USE CODE OF THE CITY
OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
(ZC-17-78, to rezone from RM-1-D-30•to RS-2-D-10 those
properties in the area bounded by 16th Street, I-805,
18th Street, and Palm Avenue, as follows: 1828 through
1948 E. 16th, 1604 through 1718 E. 16th, 1612 through
1714 E. 17th, and 1765 Palm Avenue.)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions
of the Government Code of California, proceedings were
duly initiated for the rezoning of those parcels of real
property hereinafter described, and for the amendment of
the Land Use Code of the City of National City, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings
were held by the City Planning Commission of said City and
also by the City Council of said City, and all persons in-
terested were given opportunity to appear and be heard
before said Planning Commission and said City Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of National
City has regularly and duly certified to the City Council
its report and has recommended such rezoning and such amend-
ment;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
National City, California does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. All protests, if any, against said
rezoning and said amendment to the Land Use Code, and each
of them, be and hereby are denied and overruled.
SECTION 2. That all the below described real
property now zoned RM-1-D-30 is by this Ordinance rezoned
to RS-2-D-10 those properties in the area bounded by 16th
Street, I-805, 18th"Street, and
1828 through 1948 E. 16th, 1604
Palm Avenue, as follows:
through .1718 E. 16th, 1612
through 1714 E. 17th, and 1765 Palm Avenue:
Portions of the West one-half of 80 Acre Lot 1,
Rancho de la Nacion, according to Map no. 166
thereof, filed May 11, 1869 in the Office of the
County Recorder of San Diego County, State of
California, described as follows:
The Southerly 110 feet of the Northerly 140
feet of the Easterly 415.71 feet of the Westerly
445.71 feet of the Northwest one -quarter of said
West one-half of 80 Acre Lot 1;
AND ALSO
The southerly 102 feet of the Northerly 132
feet of the Easterly 413 feet of the Westerly
443 feet of the Southerly one-half of the
Northwest one -quarter of the said West one-half
of 80 Acre Lot 1;
AND ALSO
The Southerly 135 feet of the northerly 165
feet, except the Westerly 210 feet of and
except Interstate 805 right of way of the
Northeast one -quarter of the said West one-half
of 80 Acre Lot 1.

until seven calendar days had elapsed between the days of its introduction
and the days of its final passage, to wit, on May 1, 1979
and on May 8, 1979
I FURTHER CERTIFY THAT said ordinance was read in full prior to its
final passage or that the reading of said ordinance in full was dispensed
with by a vote of not less than a majority of the members elected to the
Council and that there was available for the consideration of each mem-
ber of the Council and the public prior to the day of its passage a written
or printed copy of said ordinance.
