HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1621ORDINANCE NO. 1621 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY AMENDING CHAPTER 1.20 OF THE NATIONAL CITY MUNICIPAL CODE CHANGING VIOLATIONS OF SAID CODE FROM MISDEMEANORS TO INFRACTIONS BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of National City that § 1 of Ordinance 1358 and §1.20 of the National City Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: 1.20 GENERAL PENALTY 1.20.010 Designated - Applicability. A. Any person violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of the ordinances of the City shall be guilty of an infraction. An infraction is punishable by (1) a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50) for a first violation; (2) a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100) for a second violation of the same ordinance within one year; (3) a fine not exceeding •two hundred fifty dollars ($250) for each additional viola- tion of the same ordinance within one year. B. Each such person separate offense for any portion of which shall be guilty of a each and every day during any violation of any pro- vision of the ordinances of the City is com- mitted, continued or permitted by any such son, and he shall be punished accordingly. C. This section shall supersede all other penalty sections in the National City Municipal Code and any other City ordinances. D. Payment of a fine shall not excuse payment of any fee required by the Municipal Code or any other City ordinance. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25thday of April, 1978.
