HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1977-1564 Rezone (Special)ORDINANCE NO. 1564 AN ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO THE LAND USE CODE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA (ZC-10-76, to rezone 10 areas west of Highland Avenue to make the zoning map consistent with the General Plan Map) WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Government Code of California, proceedings were duly initiated for the rezoning of those parcels of real property hereinafter described, and for the amendment of the Land Use Code of the City of National City, and WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings were held by the City Planning Commission of said City and also by the City Council of said City, and all persons interested were given opportunity to appear and be heard before said Planning Commission and said City Council, and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of National City has regularly and duly certified to the City Council its report and has recommended such rezoning and such amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City, California does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. All protests, if any, against said rezoning and said amendment to the Land Use Code, and each of them, be and hereby are denied and overruled. SECTION 2. That the below described properties are rezoned as indicated in each item A, and D through L, and each such item is further described by an Exhibit Map with a corresponding legal description. The Exhibit Maps with each corresponding legal description are lettered A, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L, and copies of each exhibit have been and are now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of National City as Document Numbers 59414 , 59415 r 59416 r 59417 r 59418 r 59419 r 59420 59421 59422 , and 59423 , and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein; A. To rezone from CG to CT the properties in the four blocks bounded by Main and Fifth Streets and National and Roosevelt Avenues. D. To rezone from CH to CA the following properties: 1. Assessor's parcels 560-210-39 & 40 fronting the north side of 20th Street between National and "A" Avenues, and 2. All properties bounded by 20th and 3lst Streets and National and "A" Avenues. E. To rezone from CH-PD to ML those properties in the vicinity of the northwest corner of 22nd Street and the prolongation of Harding Avenue that abut the west side of the City Public Works Yard between 20th and 22nd Streets and more properly known as assessor's parcels 559-122-06, 07, 08, 09, 10 & 15 and 559-125-15 & 16. F. To rezone from CT-PD to ML the property bounded by Wilson Avenue, the San Diego & Arizona Eastern Railway right-of-way and 22nd & 24th Streets. G. To rezone from CT -OS to ML-OS the property bounded by Freeway I-5 and a line parallel to and 170 feet west of the center line of Wilson Avenue and by 22nd & 24th Streets. H. To rezone from MM-OS to MM the property bounded by Harrison Avenue on the west and the prolonga- tion of the centerline of Cleveland Avenue on the east and by 25th Street and the prolongation of the centerline of 26th Street; and the property bounded by Cleveland Avenue and its prolongation on the west, 24th Street on the north, Freeway I-5 on the east and on the south by a line parallel to and distant 495 feet south of the center line of 24th Street. I. To rezone from MM to MM-OS an area of approx- imately 15,000 square feet, located 1,000 feet east of Tidelands Avenue and 600 feet north of the prolongation of 32nd Street. J. To rezone from CH to CA the property at the southwest corner of 30th Street and National Avenue, such property having 230 feet of frontage on National Avenue and 290 feet of frontage on 30th Street. K. To rezone from CH to CA the properties on the west side of National Avenue beginning 230 feet south of 30th Street and continuing southerly 465 feet with a depth of 290 feet. L. To rezone to ML the properties bounded on the north by 31st Street and the easterly prolonga- tion thereof, on the east by the centerline of "F" Avenue, on the south by the easterly pro- longation of the centerline of 32nd Street and on the west by the southerly prolongation of the centerline of "C" Avenue, except therefrom the easterly 125 feet of the northerly 150 feet and Assessor's Parcel 562-280-16. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of April, 1977.
