HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1977-1595 Rezone (Special)ORDINANCE NO. 1595 AN ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO LAND USE CODE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA (ZC-10-77, to rezone certain properties on the south side of 6th Street and west side of Palm Avenue from RM-1 [Multiple Family Residential] and RT-PD [Two Family Residential - Planned Development] to RS-2 [Single Family Residence]) WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Government Code of California, proceedings were duly initiated for the rezoning of those parcels of real property hereinafter described, and for the amendment of the Land Use Code of the City of National City, and WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings were held by the City Planning Commission of said City and also by the City Council of said City, and all persons interested were given opportunity to appear and be heard before said Planning Commission and said City Council, and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of National City has regularly and duly certified to the City Council its report and has recommended such rezoning and such amend- ( ment; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City, California does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. All protests, if any, against said rezoning and said amendment to the Land Use Code, and each of them, be and hereby are denied and overruled. SECTION 2. That all the below described real property now zoned RM-1 (Multiple Family Residential) and RT-PD (Two Family Residential —Planned Development) is by this Ordinance rezoned to RS-2 (Single Family Residence): All that portion of the Southerly Half of 40 Acre Lot 2, Quarter Section 131, Rancho De La Nacion, per Map thereof Number 166, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California, May 11, 1869, described as follows: Commencing at the Northeasterly corner of said Southerly Half of said 40 Acre Lot 2; Thence Westerly, along the Northerly line of said Southerly Half, 30 feet; Thence Southerly, along a line which is parallel with the Easterly line of said Quarter Section 131, 30 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; Thence Westerly, along a line which is parallel with the Northerly line of said Southerly Half of said 40 Acre Lot 2, 630 feet more or less to a point of intersection with the Northeasterly corner of Lot 12 of Sunny Vale Subdivision, per map thereof number 3725 as filed with said County Recorder; Thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 12 and its Southerly prolongation, 115 feet; Thence Easterly, along a line which is parallel with and 145 feet Southerly of the Northerly line of said Southerly Half of said 40 Acre Lot 2, 165 feet; Thence Southerly, along a line which is parallel with the Easterly line of said Quarter Section 131, 20 feet; Thence Easterly, along a line which is parallel with and 165 feet Southerly of the Northerly line of said Southerly Half of said 40 Acre Lot 2, 165 feet; Thence Southerly, along a line which is parallel with the Easterly line of said Quarter Section 131, 35 feet; Thence Easterly, along a line which is parallel with the Northerly line of the Southerly Quarter of said 40 Acre Lot 2, to a point of intersection with a line which is parallel with and 30 feet Westerly of the Easterly line of said Quarter Section 131; Thence Northerly in a straight line to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13 th day of September, 1977.
