ORDINANCE TO ADD PLANNED DEVELOPMENT COMBINING ZONE
TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES ZONED RM-1 AND ADOPTING
SAID ORDINANCE AS AN INTERIM ZONING ORDINANCE AND
ADOPTING SAID ORDINANCE AS AN URGENCY ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, several inquiries regarding development
of the below described real property have recently been
received, and
WHEREAS, the below described real property has
unique site features of size, shape, topography and location,
and
WHEREAS, the development of said site to minimum
Land Use Code standards could produce design features that
would be inconsistent with the site features as specified
above and result in serious problems of environmental quality
to the detriment of public health, safety and welfare. Devel-
oped to minimum RM-1 standards, this property could be used
contrary to a broad interpretation of the National City
General Plan calling for esthetic quality, usable open space,
and livability and adaptability to its conditions of location,
topography, and natural setting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED that PD (Planned
Development) zoning be added to the RM-1 zoned property in
the City of National City described as follows:
The Easterly Half of the Southerly Quarter
of the Northerly Half of 40 Acre Lot 1,
Quarter Section 132, Rancho de la Nacion,
per Map thereof Number 166, filed in the
Office of the County Recorder of San Diego
County, California, May 11, 1869. TOGETHER
WITH the Easterly Half of the Northerly
Quarter of the Southerly Half of said 40
Acre Lot 1.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Easterly 30 feet
and the Westerly 25 feet and the Easterly
5 feet of the Westerly 30 feet of the
Southerly 110 feet.
BE IT ORDAINED that this Ordinance is adopted
as an interim zoning ordinance pending a public hearing
before the City Planning Commission and this ordinance
shall expire four (4) months from the date of adoption
unless extended by terms of applicable laws.
BE IT ORDAINED that the City Council find that
this Ordinance be adopted as an urgency Ordinance for the
reasons set forth above.

on November 8, 1977 under the provisions of Secs. 65856
and 65858 of the Government Code.
I FURTHER CERTIFY that the reading of said ordinance in
full was dispensed with by a vote of not less than a majority
of the members elected to the Council.
I FURTHER CERTIFY that the above and foregoing is a full,
true and correct copy of Ordinance No.1601 of the City of
National City, passed and adopted by the Council of said City
on November 8, 1977
