AN ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO LAND USE CODE OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
(ZC-19-77, to rezone "A" Avenue between llth and 12th
Streets from CBD-RD (Commercial Central Business District -
Redevelopment) to IC-RD (Institutional Civic -Redevelopment)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions
of the Government Code of California, proceedings were
duly initiated for the rezoning of those parcels of real
property hereinafter described, and for the amendment of
the Land Use Code of the City of National City, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hear-
ings were held by the City Planning Commission of said
City and also by the City Council of said .City, and all
persons interested were given opportunity to appear and
be heard before said Planning Commission and said City
Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of
National City has regularly and duly certified to the
City Council its report and has recommended such rezoning
and such amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City
of National City, California does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. All protests, if any, against said
rezoning and said amendment to the Land Use Code, and each
of them, be and hereby are denied and overruled.
SECTION 2. That all the below described real
property now zoned CBD-RD (Commercial Central Business
District -Redevelopment) is by this Ordinance rezoned to
IC-RD (Institutional Civic -Redevelopment) :
All that portion of the Westerly Half of 10
Acre Lot 4 of Quarter Section 154 of Rancho
De La Nacion, per Map thereof Number 166 on
file in the Office of the County Recorder of
San Diego County, California, May 11, 1869,
described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeasterly corner of
said Westerly Half of said 10 Acre Lot 4;
Thence Westerly along the Northerly line
of said 10 Acre Lot 4, 155 feet to the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING; Thence continuing Westerly
along said Northerly line, 135 feet; Thence
Southerly, parallel with the Westerly line
of said Quarter Section 154, 290 feet; Thence
Easterly, parallel with the Southerly line of
said 10 Acre Lot 4 100 feet; Thence Northerly,
parallel with the Westerly line of said Quarter
Section 154 100 feet; Thence Easterly, parallel
with the Northerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 4,
35 feet; Thence Northerly in a straight line
to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; TOGETHER WITH
all of Lots 11 through and including lot 20
of Block 1 of F. A. Kimball's Subdivision per
Map thereof Number 585 as filed with said County
Recorder; TOGETHER WITH that portion of vacated
Eleventh Street, being a strip of land 10 feet
in width lying adjacent to said Lot 20 of said
Block 1 of said F. A. Kimball's Subdivision.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of December,
1977.
