HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1976-1496 Rezone (Repealed by 1503)1496 ORDINANCE NO. 1496 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 962, ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA (ZC-10-75, to rezone from R-4 to R-1 the properties between Division Street and 2nd Street and between "J" and "L" Avenues, between 2nd and 4th Streets and between "J" and Laurel Avenues, from 905 through 947 Melrose Street, 1202 Division Street, 105 through 133 "L" Avenue, and 1203 through 1243 2nd Street) WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Government Code of California, proceedings were duly ini- tiated for the rezoning of those parcels of real property hereinafter described, and for the amendment of National City Zoning,, Ordinance No. 962, and WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings were held by the City Planning Commission of said City and also by the City Council of said City, and all persons interested were given opportunity to appear and be heard before said Planning Commission and said City Council, and WHEREAS, the City Planning Com- mission of National City has regularly and duly certified to the City Council its report and has recommended such rezoning and such amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National. City, California does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. All protests, if any, against said rezoning and said amend- ment to Ordinance No. 962, and each of them, be and hereby are denied and overruled. SECTION 2. Section 5.24 is hereby added to Ordinance No. 962 and shall read as follows: Section 5.24. That all the below described real property now zoned R-4 (Multiple Family Residence) is by this Ordinance rezoned to R-1 (Single Family Residence) [the properties be- tween Division Street and 2nd Street and between "J" and "L" Avenues, between 2nd cnd 4th Streets and be- tween "J" and Laurel Avenues, from 905 through 947 Melrose Street. 1202 Division Street, 105 through 133 "L" Avenue, and 1203 through 1243 2nd Street.) ENGINEER NUMBER 2860 All that portion of the Northerly Half of Quarter Section 131, Rancho de La Nacion, according to the Mop thereof, Number 166, filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California, May 11, 1869, described as follows: Parcel 1: Commencing at the North- westerly corner of the Easterly Half of 20 Acre Lot 1 of said Quarter Section 131, being also the inter- section of "J" Avenue and Division Street as shown on Record of Survey Map Number 753, •filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California, as file No. 37286 dated August 3, 1939; thence South 18°57' East along the centerline of said "J" Avenue a distonce of 40 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BE- GINNING; thence continuing South 18°57' East, 95 feet; thence North 71°17' East, .30 feet; thence South 18°57' East, 165 feet; thence North 71°22' East, 632.15 feet more or Tess to o point of intersection with the Westerly line of 40 Acre Lot 1, Quarter Section 131; thence North 18°45' West along said Westerly line a distance of 260 feet; thence South 71 ° 17' West, 662.80 feet more or less to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. Kimball's Subdivision according to Mop thereof Number 98 filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California, dated September 20, 1886; thence South 18°45' East along said Easterly line, 135 feet more or less to the Northeasterly corner of Lot "A", Waters Subdivision; thence South 71 ° 12'30" West, 623.43 feet more or less to the point of commencement.
