ORDINANCE NO.1389
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED 'KEEGAN, ET AL
ANNEXATION' TO THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY (CALIFORNIA
GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION
35310.1) AND AN INTERIM ZONING
ORDINANCE TO ZONE SAID
TERRITORY C-3, GENERAL
COMMERCIAL
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of
September, 1973, the Council of the City of
National City did pass and adopt
Resolution No. 11,163 giving notice of the
proposal to annex certain uninhabited
territory to the City of National City, said
territory being therein designated as
'KEEGAN, ET AL ANNEXATION', and
said Resolution did describe the
boundaries of the territory proposed to be
annexed, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 11,163
did contain a notice of the day hour and
place when and where the Council of the
City of National City would hear protests,
the time of said hearing being not more
than 30 days from the time of passage of
said Resolution, and
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of October,
1973, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council
Chambers in the Civic Center of the City of
National City, County of San Diego, State
of California, said time and place being
the day, hour and place fixed in said
Resolution No. 11,163 for hearing protests
to the said annexation, the said City
Council did hear and pass on all protests
made to the proposed annexation and did
determine that all protests, if any, be
overruled, and
WHEREAS, the petition filed with the
City Council was signed by the owners of
all of the land in the territory proposed to
be annexed and said Resolution No. 11,163
declared the fact and all other
requirements of Government Code
Section 35310.1 have been fully satisfied;
and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous
to the City of National City, and is
uninhabited territory in the County of San
Diego;
WHEREAS, National City has not
prezoned the territory to be annexed;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council
of the City of National City, does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City
of National City does hereby approve the
annexation of the territory more
particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein
as though set forth In full to the City of
National City, and does hereby further
resolve that the said territory be and is
hereby annexed to the City of National
City.
SECTION 2: That all the real property,
more particularly described in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein as though set forth in full, is by this
ordinance zoned C-3, General
Commercial.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this
SECTION 2 is hereby adopted as an
interim zoning ordinance pursuant to
Section 65858 of the California
Government Code and shall expire four
(41 months from the date of adoption
unless extended in the manner provided in
said Section.

That portion of the East Half of the East'
Half of 10 Acre Lot 10, Quarter Section 152,
together with that portion of 20 Acre Lot 4,
Quarter Section 134, Rancho de la Nacion,
in the County of San Diego, State of
California, according to the Map thereof i
number 166, filed in the office of the
County Recorder of San Diego County,k
May 11, 1869, described as follows: 1
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner
of said East Half of the East Half of 10
Acre Lot 10;
1. Thence North 71 degrees 00' East
along the Easterly prolongation of the
Northerly line of said 10 Acre Lot 10 a
distance of 40 feet to a point on the
Northerly prolongation of the Easterly
line of Highland Avenue;
2. Thence North 19 degrees 00' West
along said Northerly prolongation of t
Easterly line of said Highland Avenue
feet;
3. Thence South 71 degrees 00' West
parallel with the Northerly line of said 10
Acre Lot 10, 370 feet;
4. Thence South 19 degrees 00' East, 285

feet to the point of beginning.

the City of National City, California, on
October 16, 1973 by the following vote, to -

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the
foregoing ordinance was not finally
adopted until seven calendar days had
elapsed between the day of its
introduction and the day of its final
passage, to wit, on October 9, 1973 and on
October 16, 1973.
I FURTHER CERTIFY THAT said
ordinance was read in full prior to its final
passage or that the reading of said
ordinance in full was dispensed with by a
vote of not less than a majority of the
members elected to the Council, and that
there was available for the consideration
of each member of the Council and the
public prior to the day of its passage a
written or printed copy of said ordinance.
