HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1973-1396 Annexation (Special)1395 ORDINANCE NO. 1396 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED 'NATIONAL CENTER ANNEXATION' TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY (CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 35310.1) WHEREAS, on the 16th day of October, 1973, the Council of the City of National City did pass and adopt Resolution 11,192 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of National City, said territory being therein designated as 'NATIONAL CENTER ANNEXATION', and said Resolution did describe the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed, and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 11,192 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City of National City would hear protests; the time of said hearing being not more than 30 days from the time of passage of said Resolution, and WHEREAS, on the 27th day of November, 1973, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers -in the Civic Center of the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 11,192 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass on all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that all protests, if any, be overruled, and WHEREAS, the petition filed with the City Council was signed by the owners of all of the land in the territory proposed to be annexed and said Resolution No. 11,192 declared the fact and all other requirements of Government Code Section 35310.1 have been fully satisfied; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of National City, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of National City does hereby approve the annexation of the territory more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated hereir as though set forth in full to the City of National City, and does hereby further resolve that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of National City PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of November, 1973. /s/ KileMorgan MAYOR ATTEST: /s/ IoneMinogue Campbell CITY CLERK EXHIBIT"A" That portion of Quarter Sections 126, 127, 134 8. 135 of Rancho De La Nacion, in the County of San Diego, State of California, according to map thereof No. ..166, filed in the office of the County Recorder of said San Diego County, May 11, 1869, described as follows: BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Quarter Section 127 of said Rancho De La Nacion as shown on map of Lincoln Acres Annex, Map No. 1745, filed in the office of the County Recorder of said San Diego County, January 3, 1923;
