OR'DINANCE NO. 1296
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 962, ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF NATIONAL CITY, CALI-
FORNIA
(Zone Change No. ZC-86-71 to
Establish a Height Regulation
Qombining Zone on all C-2-PD
and R-4-PD properties East of
Harbison Avenue between Divi-
sion and 16th Streets)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the
terms and provisions of the
Qovernment Code of California,
proceedings were duly initiated
for the rezoning of those parcels
of real property hereinafter de-
scribed, and for the amendment
of National City Zoning Ordi-
nance No. 962, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due
and legal notice, hearings were
held by the City Planning
Commission of said City and
also by the City Council of said
City, and all persons interested
were given opportunity to ap-
pear and be heard before said
Xlanning Commission and said
City Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Planning
Commission of National City
has regularly and duly certified
to the City Council its report
and has recommended such re-
zoning and such amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE
City Council of the City of
National City, California does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. All protests, if
any against said rezoning and
said amendment to Ordinance
No. 962, and each of them, be
and hereby are denied and
overruled.
SECTION 2. Section 4.76. That
the official zoning map is by
this ordinance amended to
change the zone classification
of the below described real
property to wit:
a. To add to the C-2-PD,
Limited Commercial Planned
Development Zone, the symbol
"H", together with the numer-
ical figure "35" following the
same, designating a height limit
of THIRTY-FIVE FEET (35')
on those certain properties to
wit:
(1) Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of
O.D. Arnold Estates Unit No.
1, Map No. 3700 (South and
West of the intersection of Plaza
Boulevard and Eighth Street).
(2) The Easterly Quarter of
the Northeasterly Quarter Sec-
tion 106 Rancho de la Naclon
Map No. 166 except the West-
erly 40 feet thereof (East of
Harbison between Eighth Street
and Plaza Boulevard and from
Plaza Boulevard 115 feet South).
(3) The Westerly 363 feet of
the North half of Quarter Sec-
tion 103 Rancho de la Nacion
Map No. 166 except the North-
erly 40 feet thereof (East of
H a r b i s on Avenue between
Eighth Street and Plaza Boule-
vard south to the City boundary
line).
(4) That portion of the South-
east Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter of Quarter Section 105
of Rancho de la Nacion Map
No. 166 described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast
corner of said Quarter Section
105; thence Westerly along the
Southeasterly line of said
Quarter Section 105 a distance
of 330 feet more or less to the
Westerly line of said Southeast
Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter: thence Northerly along
said Westerly line; thence
Easterly parallel with the
Southerly line of said Quarter
Section 165 feet; thence South-
erly parallel with said Westerly
line 38 feet; thence Westerly
parallel with the Southerly line
of said Quarter Section 165 feet
to the Easterly line of said
Qua vier Section; thence
Southerly along said Easterly -
line 155 feet to the point
of b e g i n n i n g. EXCEPTING
THEREFROM the Southerly 40;.
feet, the Easterly 30 feet and
the Westerly 30 feet thereof.
(Northeast corner of the inter-
section of Eighth Street and;
Harbison Avenue).
(5) The Easterly 210 feet of
the Southerly 200 feet of Quarter.

Map No. 166 (Northeast corner•
of the intersection of Sixteenth
Street and Harbison Avenue).
b. To add to the R-4-PD, Resi-
dential Planned Development
Zone, the symbol "H", together.
with the numerical figure "35"
following the same, designating
a height limit of THIRTY-FIVE
FEET (35'), on those certain
properties to wit:
(1) Lots 5, 6, and 7 of O.D.
Arnold Estates Unit No. 1, Map
No. 3700 (Southerly intersection
of Manchester Street and Plaza
Boulevard.)
(2) That portion of the South-
westerly Quarter of Quarter.
Section 104 of the Rancho de
la Nacion, in the County of San
Diego, according to map thereof
No. 166 by Morrill, recorded in
the office of the County Re-
corder of said San Diego
County; said portion of the
Southwesterly Quarter is de-
scribed as follows:
Commencing at the North-
westerly corner of said South-
westerly Quarter; thence, North
71° East, 330 feet; to the True
Point of Beginning; thence,
No r t h 71° East, 330 feet;
thence, South 19 ° East, 440
feet; thence, South 71 ° West,
330 feet; thence Nor t h 19°
West, 440 feet to the True Point
of Beginning.
(South Side of Mariposa Place
East of Thelma Way).
