HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1972-1338 Amends Ord. 962, zoning (Repealed by 1503)ORDINANCE NO. 1338 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 962, ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA (Hide Curing by the Brinematic Process within the M-4 Industrial Zone) WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Government Code of California, proceedings were duly initiated for the amendment of the National City Zoning Ordinance No. 962, and WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings were held by the City Planning Commission of said City and also by the City Council of said City, and persons interested were given an opportunity to appear and be heard before said Planning Commission and said City Council, and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of National City has regularly and duly certified to the City Council its report and has recommended such amendment, and WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the recommendation of the City Planning Commission: NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. All protests, if any, against said amendment to Ordinance No. 962 and each of them be and hereby are denied and overruled. SECTION 2. There is hereby added to Section 8, Subsection I (2) of Ordinance No. 962, a new subparagraph e, which shall read as follows: e. Hide curing by the Brinematic Process, provided that it shall comply with the following provisions, in addition to all other zoning regulations and in addition to all conditions of approval attached to any conditional use permit. 1. All loading/off-loading operations shall be conducted directly between the truck and building, with no outdoor handling or storage of hides. 2. Hide curing shall be conducted completely with an enclosed structure. 3. Cement mixers used in curing the hides shall be permanently installed. 4. Adequate cold storage facilities shall be maintained for storing uncured hides held on the premises more than twenty- four (24) hours. 5. Uncured hides held on the premises for more than twenty-four (24) hours shall be frozen and so maintained in a col storage locker until ready for curing. 6. All liquid wastes from the curing operation shall be promptly and properly disposed of in a manner acceptable to the City and to the San Diego Metropolitan Sewer District. SECTION 3. There is hereby inserted in Section 8, Paragraph l (3) a, following the words "Fur and Hide Curing and Tanning" the following: "(excepting hide curing- by the Brinematic Process)" PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 1972.
