AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1122, ESTABLISHING LICENSE FEES FOR AMBULANCES The City Council of the City of National City, Calif- orian, does Ordain as follows: SECTION 1: That Section 10(f)(2) of Ordinance 1122 is hereby amended to readas follows: Section 10(f)(2) To any person who has made any false statement in his application or who has been con- victed of a felony, or who has been convicted of driving a vehicle on the highway under the influence of intoxi- cating liquor or under the influence of narcotics or reckless driving, unless two (2) years have elapsed since his discharge from a penal institution or after having been placed upon probation during which period of time his record is good. The City Council may upon the rec- ommendation of the Chief of Police and City Manager and good cause appearing therefor, upon written application grant a license to a person convicted of a felony. SECTION 2: Section 29 of Ordinance 708, as amended by Ordinance 1122, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 29: For every person conducting, managing, or operating a business in which taxi cabs or for -hire vehicles are used, shall pay a license fee of $50.00 per annum for each such taxi cab or for -hire vehicle except that every person conducting, managing or operating a business in which ambulances are used, shall pay a license fee of $50.00 per annum for the first vehicle used or to be used within the City limits, and the sum of $4.00 per annum for each additional vehicle so usedor to be used. SECTION 3: Section 14 is hereby added to Ordinance 1122 andshall read as follows: Section 14: Penalties. Any person who shall vio- late or fail to comply with the provisions of the ordin- ance as hereby adopted shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or by im- prisonment in the City or County jail for a period of not more than six months or by both such fine and imprison- ment.
