AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "24TH STREET
ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of October, 1963, the Council
of the City of National City did pass and adopt Resolution No.
8470 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited
territory to the City of National City, said territory being
therein designated as "24TH STREET ANNEXATION", and said Resolu-
tion did describe the boundaries of the territory proposed to
be annexed, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 8470 did contain a
notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council
of the City of National City would hear protests made by any
person owning real property within the territory proposed to
be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty
nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said Res-
olution, and
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of November, 1963, at the
hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of
the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of Calif-
ornia, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed
in said Resolution No. 8470 for hearing protests to the said
annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass on all pro-
tests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that
protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the
value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public
owners of one-half of the value of the public owned territory
proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body;
and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
National City, and is uninhabited territory in the County of
San Diego;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
National City, does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of National
City does hereby approve the annexation of the territory here-
inafter described to the City of National City, and does hereby
further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed
to the City of National City.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
City of National City is herein approved, is all that territory
situated in the County of San Diego, State of California, more
particularly described as follows:
All those portions of Lot 434 as shown on Map No. 1754
of Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3 filed in the Recorder's office in
the County of San Diego, State of California, lying within the
following described boundary line:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Lot 434,
also being a point on the boundary of the City of National City,
being the True Point of Beginning;
1. Thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said
Lot 434 also the boundary of the City of National City to the
Northeast corner of said Lot 434;
2. Thence leaving the boundary of the City of National
City, Southerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 434 a dis-
tance of 106.79 feet;
3. Thence Westerly along a line parallel with the
Northerly line of said Lot 434, to a point in the Westerly line
of said Lot 434, also the boundary of the City of National City;
4. Thence Northerly along the boundary of the City
of National City to the True Point of Beginning.
