AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL CITY
HISTORICAL COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens
of National City to maintain and preserve documents and other
items of historical interest and value, and
WHEREAS, there is no officially sanctioned organi-
zation within the City of National City for the collection
and preservation of such documents and items,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
National City, California, does ordain as follows:
That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to ap-
point a five -person Historical Committee, with
said appointments subject to the approval of the
City Council. It shall be the duty of said Com-
mittee to collect, maintain and preserve documents
and items of historical interest in the City of
National City and its citizens.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this .5th
day of March , 19 63 , by the following vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen Allen, Colburn, Hart, Morgan, Gautereaux
NAYS: Councilmen None
ABSENT: None
