HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1964-1092 Annexation (Special)ORDINANCE NO. 1092 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "PROCTOR ANNEXATION" TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY WHEREAS, on the 10th day of December, 1963, the Council of the City of National City did pass and adopt Res- olution No. 8521 giving notice of the proposal to annex cer- tain uninhabited territory to the City of National City, said territory being therein designated as "PROCTOR ANNEXA- TION", and said Resolution did describe the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed, and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 8521 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City of National City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution, and WHEREAS, on the 23th day of January, 1964, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of Calif- ornia, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 8521 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass on all pro- tests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the public owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of National City, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of National City does hereby approve the annexation of the territory here- inafter described to the City of National City, and does here- by further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby an- nexed to the City of National City. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of National City is herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of San Diego, State of California, more particularly described as follows: All those portions of Lots 136, 137, 138 and 139 as shown on Map No. 1745 of Lincoln Acres Annex. filed in the Recorders Office in the County of San Diego, State of Calif- ornia, lying within the following described boundary line; Beginning at the most Northerly corner of said Lot 136 said corner being in the Boundary line of the City of National City said corner being the True Point of Beginning; 1. Thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of said Lot 136 to the Easterly corner of said Lot 136. 2. Thence Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of said -Lot 136, 137, 138 and 139 to the most Southerly corner of said Lot 139. 3. Thence Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of said Lot 139 to the most Westerly corner of said Lot 139. 4. Thence Northeasterly along the Northwesterly boundaries of said Lots 139, 138, 137 and 136 to the True Point of Beginning.
