HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1961-985 Amends §§ 2 and 4 of Ord. 893, trailer parks (6.62, 9.28)ORDINANCE NO. 9'85 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 893 OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA REGARDING FEES FOR TRAILER PARKS The City Council of the City of National City, California does ordain as follows: Section 1. There is hereby added to Section 2 of Ordinance 893, Subsection (b) 7. to read as follows: §7. The word person shall mean person, firm, partner- ship, or corporation. Words used in the masculine gender shall include the feminine and neuter gender. Words used in the neuter gender shall include the masculine and feminine gender. Section 2. Section 4 of Ordinance 893 is hereby amended to read as follows: §4. LICENSE AND LICENSE FEE. It shall be unlawful for any person either directly or indirectly to operate an auto or trailer park until he first obtains the permit required by this Ordinance and also obtains a license therefor and pays the fee prescribed in Section 15 of National City Ordinance No. 708 based upon gross annual receipts of such auto or trailer park. If such license shall be paid on or before the 30th day of the month following the date when it shall become due, a penalty in a sum equal to ten per cent of the license due and payable shall be added thereto; an additional ten per cent shall be added thereto for every fraction of a month thereafter that the license tax remains unpaid, provided however, that the penalty in no event shall exceed fifty per cent of the tax due and payable. No license shall be issued until said penalty has been paid. No license granted or issued under any provision of this Ordinance shall be assignable or transferable. Each license granted shall be valid only for the address therein designated. The City License Collector shall make a charge of $I.00 for every duplicate license issued in the event the original becomes lost or i--s destroyed. The license fee for any person who operated an auto or trailer park during the year 1960 shall be based upon the gross receipts of said auto or trailer park for the year 1960.
