:AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY OF CERTAIN INHABITED
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "SWEETW:T ER HEIGHTS"
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the annexation Act of
1913 and to Ordinance No. 983 adopted by the City Council of the
City of National City on the 27th day of December, 1960, a special
election was held on the I4th day of February, 1961 in that certain
inhabited territory contiguous to the City of National City desig-
nated as "SIEETWATER HEIGHTS", which is hereinafter more particularly
described; and
WHEREAS, at said special election, the following question was
submitted to the qualified electors residing in said territory:
"SHALL "SV EETWAT EiR HEIGHTS" BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY, SAND THE PROPERTY IN SUCH TERRITORY BE,
AFTER SUCH ANNEXATION, SUBJECT TO TAXATION EQUALLY WITH
THE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, TO PAY
THE ENTIRE BONDED.INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL
CITY OUTSTANDING OR AUTHORIZED AT THE DATE OF THE FIRST
PUBLICATION OF THE NOTICE OF ELECTION, FOR THE ACQUISI-
TION, CONSTRUCTION OR COiMPLEJ ION OF MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS?"
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the
votes cast at the special election that a majority of all votes cast
in said territory favor said annexation upon the terms contained in
the question submitted; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the special election and all proceed-
ings relating thereto have been conducted strictly in accordance
with the law.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF „ATIONAL CITY
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the annexation of that certain inhabited
territory contiguous to the City of National City designated
as "Sweetwater Heights" be and same hereby is approved upon
the terms contained in the question which was submitted at
the special election held on the 14th day of February, 1961.
Said territory is described as follows:

All that unincorporated area situated within the County of San Diego, State of
California, described as follows
1. Beginning at the moat Northerly corner of Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3,
according to Map No. 1754, filed in the office of the County Recorder, June
11, 1923; said corner being common to the boundary lines of the City of San
Diego and the City of National City; thence along the boundary of Tract 600
of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 3, the following courses and distances:

3. South 04°20'00" East, 67.26 feet;
4. South 47°17'00" East, 73.66 feet;
5. South 26°01'00" West, 92.30 feet;
6. South 19°41'00" West, 83.52 feet;
7. South 54°51'00" East, 79.97 feet;
8. South 31°59'00" East, 66.67 feet;
9. South 12°37'00" West, 76.51 feet;
10. South 05°45'00" East, 66.84 feet;
11. South 46°50'00" East, 228.57 feet;
12. South 25°36'00" West, 251.76 feet;
13. Thence leaving said boundary of Tract 600 Southwesterly in a straight line
to the most Northerly corner of Lot 478 of Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4, accord-
ing to Map No. 1763, filed in the office of the County Recorder of said San
Diego County, August 9, 1923;
14. Thence along the boundary of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4, South 63°00'00"
East, 94.83 feet to an angle point therein;
15. Thence continuing along said boundary South 47°30'00" East, 349.98 feet to
the most Easterly corner of Lot 484 of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4;
16. Thence along the Southeasterly line of said Lot 484, South 21'01'00" West,
216.63 feet to the Southeasterly corner of said Lot;
17. Thence continuing South 21°01'00" West, 50.00 feet, more or less, to a point
in the Northerly line of Lot 498 of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4;
18. Thence Southeasterly along the Northeasterly line of said Lot 498, to the
most Easterly corner of said Lot;
19. Thence along the Northeasterly line of Lots 497, 496 and 495 of said Lincoln
Acres Annex No. 4, South 64°29'00" East, 141.26 feet to the beginning of a
300.00 foot radius curve, concave Southwesterly, in said Northeasterly line
of Lot 495;
20. Thence along the Northeasterly boundary of Lots 495, 494 and 493, South-
easterly along the arc of said curve, a distance of 70.42 feet to the
beginning of a compound curve, concave Southwesterly, having a radius of
30.51 feet;
21. Thence continuing along the Northeasterly boundary of said Lots, South-
easterly along the arc of said curve a distance of 25.15 feet to the beginning
of a reverse curve, concave Northeasterly, having a radius of 50.00 feet;
22. Thence continuing along Said Northeasterly boundary Southeasterly along the
arc of said curve a distance of 68.97 feet to the Northeasterly corner of
Lot 493 of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4;
23. Thence along the Easterly line of said Lot 493, South 07°1C'00" East, 307.16
feet to the Southeasterly corner of said Lot, being also the Northwesterly
corner of Lot 539 of said Lincoln Acres Annex No. 4;

the intersection with the Southerly line of said Road Survey No. 1323;
43. Thence Southeasterly along said Road Survey No. 1323 to an intersection with the
Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line of the East Half of the Southeast
Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Quarter Section 100 of Rancho de la Nacion,
according to Map thereof by Morrill, No. 166, filed in the office of the County
Recorder of said San Diego County;
47. Thence Northerly along said Southerly prolongation and said
the Northwesterly corner of said East Half of the Southeast
east Quarter of said Quarter Section 100, said corner being
erly corner of land described in deed to Casa Peoples, et u
15, 1935 in 5ooI. 401, page 7, of Official Records;
48. Thence along the Southerly line of said People's land, said
being also the Southerly boundary of the Northwest Quarter
Quarter of said Quarter Section 100, South 71°00'00" West,
the Southwesterly corner of said Peoples' land, saidcorner
corner in the Easterly boundary of land described in Parcel
Wesley T. Pearce, et, ux, recorded. August 20, 1959 in Book

land, North 51°34'00" West, 12,53 feet to the Southwesterly terminus of the
center line of that 50.00 foot Road Easement as described in Parcel 3 in said
deed to Pearce above referred to, said casement being also shown on record
of Survey Map No. 2134, filed in the office of the County Recorder of said
San Disgo County, April 5, 1949;
