AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"OLIVEWOOD ANNEXATION," TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY
WHEREAS, on the 2lst day of February, 1961, the Council of
the City of National City did pass and adopt Resolution No. 7875
giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited terri-
tory to the City of National City, said territory being therein
designated as "OLIVEWOOD ANNEXATION," and said Resolution did de-
scribe the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 7875 did contain a notice of
the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from the date
of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the llth day of April, 1961, at the hour of
2:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City
of National City, County of San Diego, State of California, said
time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resol-
ution No. 7875 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the
said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the
proposed annexation and did determine that protest had not been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned
territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized
assessment roll, nor by public owners of one -calf of the value of
the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined
by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
National City, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Diego;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City
does ordain as follows:
Section 1: The City Council of the City of National City
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter
described to the City of National City, and does hereby further
ordain that the said territory be and is herebyamexed to the City
of National City.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of National City is herein approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of San Diego, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:
1. Beginning at the center line of A Avenue atd'the North line
of Thirtieth Street as shown on Map No. 1067, Budd Villa
Tract, on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego County,
State of California;
2. Thence easterly along said North line of Thirtieth Street,
being also the boundary of the City of National City, a
distance of 330 feet, more or less, to the center line of
B Avenue as shown on said Map No. 1067;
3. Thence southerly along said center line a distance of 40 feet;
4. Thence westerly along a line parallel with and 40 feet southerly
of said northerly line of Thirtieth Street a distance of 330
feet, more or less, to said center line of A Avenue;
5. Thence northerly along said center line a distance of 40 feet
to the point of beginning.
All lying within 10 Acre Lot 6, Quarter Section 152, Rancho
de La Nacion, according to Map Thereof No. 166 on file in said
Recorder's Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
National City, California, this —" day of 1961, by the
