CITY, CALIFORNIA, OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY, IN 311F. COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DESIG- NATED AS "SOUTH WEST MESA." WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Annexation Act of )913. as Amended, the City Council of City of National City, California, did regularly and duly submit to the electors residing in the territory known as SOUTH WEST MESA. and here- after more particularly described, the proposition "Shall South West Mesa be annexed to The City of National City. and the property therein be, after such annexation, subject to taxation equally with property within said City. to pay the bonded indebtedness of said City outstanding at the date of the Baia annexation?". and WHEREAS, the City Council did regulariy and duly canvass said elec- tion returns; and WHEREAS, the said proposition did receive the assent of a majority of the qualified electors voting at said election, and that the proposition for annexation was approved; and WHEREAS. the City Council does hereby Lnd that all proceedings re- quired by law have been complied with and that said territory may be and it shall be annexed to City of National City, California: NOW, THEREFORE, TILE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF NATIONAL CITY. CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The City Council of City of National City hereby approves the annexation to City of National City of the following described terri- tory situated in the County of San Diego, State of California. designated as "SOUTH WEST MESA", to -wit: All that portion of Bahia Vista, Map Nu. 1815, Records of San Diego County, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Southerly Boundary line of National City. with the West right of way line of Notional Avenue as shown on Map thereof No, 1815 of Bahia Vista, on file in the office of the Recorder of San Diego County; thence along said West right of way line S 18` 35' E 230 ft., thence South 71, 25' West 290 feet. thence S 6' 30' West 260.0 ft., thence S 85, 01' West 357.67 feet, thence S 73" 14' West 229.0 ft., thence N 67° 08' West 306.88 ft., thence S 58' 09' West 156.31 ft.. thence S 88' 18' West 120.23 ft., thence S 53` 35' West 110.16 ft., thence N 87' 30' West 117.10 ft., thence N 89' 18' West 92.86 ft., thence N 180 35' West 132.88 ft., to the Southerly Bound- ary line of National City, thence along said Southerly Boundary North 71' 25' East 1776.01 ft., more or less, to the point of beginning. SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of said City is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance in the Office of the Secre- tary of State of the State of California; giving the date of its passage, and from and after the date of filing of said document in the Office of the Secretary of State the annexation of such territory so proposed to be an- nexed and described herein shall be deemed to he and shall be completed and thenceforth such annexed terri- tory shall be, to all intents and pur- poses. a part of City of National City, and said annexed territory shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of any indebtedness or liability of the City of National City contracted prior to, or existing at, the time of the an- nexation thereof. SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall, and is hereby authorized and directed to, file in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Diego an affidavit stating that all require- ments of the laws pertaining to the proceedings for the annexation of the territory berenabove described have been complied with, which said affi- davit shall be accompanied by a certi- fied copy of the boundary description as set forth in said proceedings and clso by a map delineating such bound- ary, and the City Clerk is hereby dir- ected to comply with the requirements of Sections 34080 and 34081 and the requirements of Title 5, Division 2, Part 1. Chapter 8, all of the Govern- ment Code of the State of California. SiCl'ION 4: The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be published once in the National City News. n newspaper print- ed and published in City of National City, and of weekly circulation there- in. SECTION 5: This Ordinance Shall take effect and be in force on the thirty-first day after the date of its final passage. 1'ASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 2nd day of March, 1954, by the following vote. to -Wit: AYES: Councilmen Campbell, Par- chen.
