AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY,
DESIGNATED " NATIONAL CITY BAY CORRIDOR"
TO THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY:
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1954, the
Council of the City of National City did pa.ss and a.dopt Resolution
No. 6287 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited
territory to the City of National City, said territory being therein
designated as 'National City Ba.y Corridor'', said Resolution des
cribing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 6287 did contain a notice
of the day, hour and place when a.nd where the Council of the City
would hear protests made by any person owning real property within
the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being
not less than fifteen nor more than fifty days from the date of
passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of December, 1954, at the
hour of 9:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Cha.mbers in the City Hall
of the City of National City, County of San Diego, State of California.,
said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said
Resolution No. 6287 for hearing protests to the said annexation,
the said City Council did hear and pa.ss upon all protests made to
the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed
to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor
by public a.nd private owners of one-half of the value of the territory
proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of
National City, and is uninhabited territory in the County of San
Diego;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of National
City does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hreina.fter
described to the City of National City, a.nd does hereby further
ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City
of National City.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of National City is herein approved, is all that territory situate in
the County of San Diego, State of California, more pa.rticula.rly
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly
boundary line of the City of National City and the
southerly boundary line of the City of San Diego with
the Mean High Tide Line of the Ba.y of San Diego,
said point being the true point or place of beginning;
thence westerly along the said northerly b ounda.ry
line of the City of National City to an intersection with
the United States Pierhea,d Line between Harbor Line
Stations 308 a.nd 312 a.s said Pierhead Line is now
established for the Bay of San Diego; thence southerly along
the said United States Pierhea.d Line to a.n intersection
with the northerly boundary line of the City of Chula Vista
as per Ordinance No. 488 of the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista. dated February 10, 1954; thence
westerly, at right angles to the said United States Pier
head Line, along said northerly boundary line of the
City of Chula. Vista. to an intersection with the ea.sterly
boundary line of the City of Corona.do as per Ordinance
No. 832 of the City Council of the City of Coronado
dated Februa.ry 20, 1951; thence southerly along said
ea.sterly boundary line of the City of Coronado to an
intersection with the southerly boundary line of the City
of Chula. Vista. as per said Ordinance No. 488 of the City
Council of the City of Chula. Vista.; thence easterly along
said southerly boundary line of the City of Chula, Vista.
to a.n intersection with the Mea.n High Tide Line of the
Ba.y of San Diego a.s per Miscellaneous Map No. 79 on
file at the County of San Diego Recorders Office; thence
southerly and westerly along said Mean High Tide Line
through the following courses; first south 8° 19' west a.
distance of 1, 109.80 feet; thence south 16° 16' east
a. distance of 200.00 feet; thence south 5° 40' west a.
distance of 300.00 feet; thence south 16° 37' east a.
distance of 800. 00 feet; thence south 2° 33' west a.
distance of 600.00 feet; thence north 85° 44' west a.

dista.nce of 300.00 feet; thence south 60° west a
distance of 770. 00 feet; thence south 8.1° west a
dista.nce of 530. 00 feet; thence south 430
west a dista.nce
of 800.00 feet; then leaving said Mean High Tide Line north
67° 29' 25" west a distance of 4,426.73 feet, more or
less, to a point on the said easterly boundary line of the
City of Coronado, said point being 300.00 feet southerly
from the said southerly boundary line of the City of
Chula Vista; thence westerly at right angles to said
easterly boundary line of the City of Corona.do to an
intersection with a. line parallel to a.nd distant 300.00
feet westerly from the said easterly boundary line of the
City of Coronado; thence northerly and westerly along said
300.00 foot parallel line to an intersection with the
said south boundary line of the City of San Diego; thence
easterly along the said south boundary line of the City
of San Diego to the point or place of beginning.
