F. Rabbits, chinchillas and hampsters shall be kept in
hutches or cages provide : with floors that are removable, or with a
removable tray, for the purpose of cleaning and disinfecting.

horse, cow or goat shall be kept or maintained
within one hundred feet of any dwelling including the owners.
H. Rabbits and birds shall be kept or maintained within
a building or fenced enclosure in the rear yard and shall be not less
than twenty-five feet from any residence including the owners; except,
that parakeets, canaries and similar birds not exceeding the lii..itat-
ions of this ordinance, may be kept in cages within a residence.
I. Chinchillas or hampsters may be housed in a basement
or garage or in a building attached to the dwelling of their owner,
but shall be located twenty-five feet from any other dwelling- if _loused.
in a hutch or similar enclosure in a yard.
J. Any animal, except a cat, shall not be at large in a
public street or public place, or go or be upon the premises owned or
occupied by any other person in rational City without said other per-
son's consent.
The keeping of any bird or animal other than one dog
or one cat or two birds in a multiple family residence is prohibited..

permit is obtained from the Planning Commission and the Health Depart-
ment of the City of National City.
SECTION 3: The keeping of the birds or animals described in
this ordinance within the boundaries of the City of National City other
than in conformance with the conditions established by this ordinance
is hereby declared a nuisance and unlawful, and any person, firm or
corporation keeping birds or animals and failing to comply with the
conditions established by this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction my be punished by imprisonment in the
City Jail for not exceeding three months, or by a fine not to exceed
;;250.00 or by both. such fine and imprisonment.
