AN ORDINANCE GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE
A PORTION OF 18th STREET NEAR PALM AVENUE
The City Council of the City of National City does ordain as
follows:
�l. The City Council of the City of National City hereby de-
clares its intention to vacate and close pursuant to the provisions
of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of Cali-
fornia the following described portions of its public streets:
All that portion of 80 acre lot I, Quarter Section
128, Rancho de La Nacion according to Map thereof No.
166 on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego County,
California, more particularly. described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the westerly
one -quarter of the northerly half of said 80 acre lot 1;
thence northerly along the westerly line of said 80 acre
lot I to a point of intersection with a line parallel to and
30 feet northerly, measured at right angles, from the
southerly line of said northerly half; thence easterly along
said parallel line a distance of 30 feet to the "true point
of beginning"; thence continuing easterly along said parallel
line 632.10 feet to the easterly line of said westerly one -
quarter; thence southerly along said easterly line 10 feet;
thence westerly along a line parallel to and 20 feet northerly,
measured at right angles from the southerly line of said
northerly half a distance of 361.09 feet; thence northwesterly
in a straight line 272 feet, more or less, to the "true point
of beginning".
Time for hearing any and all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 2:00 p.m.,
October 27, 1959, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, in
the City of National City, California.
3. Particulars as to the proposed vacation are set forth in
that certain map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City
of National City entitled "Drawing Number 238-R of the City of
National City Engineering Department".
54. The City Council has determined that the public convenience
and necessity require the reservation of easements and rights of way
for structures enumerated in 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California; and that this proceeding is taken subject
to such reservations and exceptions.
5. The City Engineer of the City of National City, California
is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance
and the time and place of hearing in accordance with law.
