HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1959-955 Street vacation (Special)ORDINANCE NO. 955 AN ORDINANCE GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE "A" AVENUE BETWEEN 15th and 16th STREETS AND THE ALLEYS BETWEEN 16th and 18th STREETS, HOOVER AND WEST AVENUES. The City Council of the City of National City does ordain as follows: §I. The City Council of the City of National City hereby de- clares its intention to vacate and close pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of Cali- fornia the following described portions of its public streets: PARCEL ONE: "That portion of the street (now called "A" Avenue) that adjoins and is between Blocks 1 and 2 of 10 Acre Lot 8 of Subdivision of 10 Acre Lots 7 and 8 and W 1/2 of 6 in 1/4 Sec. 154 of National Ranch according to Map there- of No. 552 on file in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California." PARCEL TWO: The alleys in Blocks 47 and 48 of Map of National City, as shown on Map No. 348 on file in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California, and - also the 20 foot wide portion of 17th Street that connects said alleys and that was excluded from the previous vacat- ing of 17th Street. §2. Time for hearing any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 2:00 o'clock p.m., November 17, 1959, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of National City, California. §3. Particulars as to the proposed vacation are set forth in those certain Maps and Drawings Numbered 40-B and I68-L Revision No. 1 of the City of National City Engineering Department on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City. §4. The City Council has determined that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and that this proceeding is taken subject to such reservations and exceptions. §5. The City Engineer of the City of National City, California is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and place of hearing in accordance with law.
