HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1959-964 Street vacation (Special)follows: ORDINANCE NO. 964 AN ORDINANCE GIVING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE VARIOUS STREETS AND ALLEYS IN NATIONAL CITY The City Council of the City of National City does ordain as §I. The City Council of the City of National City hereby de- clares its intention to vacate and close pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of California the following described portions of its public streets: PARCEL ONE A: Twenty third street from the west line of Second Avenue (now called Hoover Avenue) to a line connect- ing the east line of the alley in Block 151 with the east line of the alley in Block 152, of Map of National City, as shown on map thereof No. 348 on file in the Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, California; and B: Fourth Avenue (now called Harding Avenue) from the South line of Twenty Second Street to the north line of Twenty Fourth Street of map of National City as shown on said Map No. 348; and C: Third Avenue (now called Coolidge Avenue) from the south line of Twenty Second Street to the north line of Twenty Fourth street of map of National City as shown on said Map No. 348; and D: The alleys in Blocks 87, 88, 105 and 106 of map of National City as shown on said map No. 348. Excepting therefrom easements 12 feet in right angle width, being 6 feet in width on each side of the center lines of the existing sewers in the portions of the streets above described. These sewers are located as follows: 1: In Twenty third Street from the existing sewer in Third Avenue (Coolidge Avenue) to the east line of the alleys in said Blocks 151 and 152. 2: In Fourth Avenue (Harding Avenue) from the south line of Twenty Second Street to the existing sewer in Twenty Third Street. 3: In Third Avenue (Coolidge Avenue) from the south line of Twenty Second Street to the north line of Twenty Fourth Street. Said easements are reserved for sewer, drainage and access purposes and said easements are not tote encroached upon by buildings or other structures except as permitted by the City Engineer of the City of National City. PARCEL TWO The easterly ten feet and the westerly ten feet of eighty foot wide "F" Avenue from 18th Street to 24th Street, in the City of National City, as shown on City of National City Engineering Department Drawing No. 499-L dated October 13, 1959, being parcels lettered "A", "B", "C", "D", "E", "F", "G" and "H" as shown on said drawing. §2. Time for hearing any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 2:00 o'clock p.m., February*, 1960, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of National City, California. §3. Particulars as to the proposed vacation are set forth in those certain Maps and Drawings Numbered 280-B and 499-L of the City of National City Engineering Department on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City. §4. The City Council has determined that the public con- venience and necessity require the reservation of easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and that this proceeding is taken subject to such reservations and exceptions. §5. The City Engineer of the City of National City, California is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and place of hearing in accordance with law.
