AN ORDINANCE APPROVING TIIE
.ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA
OF CERTAIN 'UNINHABITED
TERRITORY. IN TIIE: COUNTY
OF SAN DIE(.0, STATE OF CALI-
FORNIA, DESIGNATED AS
"SWEETWATER DELTA."
WHEREAS, an the seventh day of
.Tune, 1950. the City Council of the
City of National City. California.
pursuant to Section No. 35310 of the
Government Code of the Stare of
California, initiated proceedings for
the a nnexat inn to. inenrooratlon and
inclusion in the City of National City
of certain uninhabited territory here-
inafter described, in the County of
Nan Diego, Stare of California, and
designated as "Sweetwater Delta"
pursuant to the annexation of the
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1930, as
amended: and
R-II EREAS, pursuant to the terms
and provisions of said annexation of
Uninhabited Territory- Art of 1030. as
untended, the Council of the City
elf National City, at a regular meet-
ing, held on the seventh day of June.
1950. adopted a resolution giving no-
tice of the proposed annexation. which
resolution .lese•rlbvd the boundaries of
the territory so proposed to be an-
nexed to the City of National City,
and designated such territory as
"Sweetwater Delta."; and said reso-
lution provided for a hearing to be
held on the fifth day of July, 11150
at the hour of $:00 p.rn. In the Coun-
cil Chambers at the City Hall, Na-
tional CCy, California. :,t a regular
meeting of the City Council of sal ic!
City, at which time any person own-
ing real property within such terri-
tory proposed to be annexed and hay-
ing any objections to the proposed an-
nexation. night appear before said
(5ry Council and show cause why
such ten -Rory should not be so an-
nexed: and
WHEREAS, AS, the City Clerk of the
City of National City caused a copy
of said resolution to be published
once a week for two successive weeks
prior to said fifth day of July 1950.
in the National City News. a weekly
newspaper of general circulation pub-
lished in said City, to wit: Upon the
twenty-third day of June and upon
the thirtieth day of June. 1900: and
R'IIEREAS, on the fifth clay cf
July, 1950, at 5 p.m., at a regular
meeting of the City Council of said
City, it was found that no protests
were filed against such proposed an-
nexalion.

DAINED by the City Council of the

follows:
SECTION 7. The City Council of
the City of National City hereby ap-
proves the annexation to the City of
National City of the following de-
scribed teri:ory situated in the
County of San Diego. State of Cali-
fornia. designated as "Sweetwater
lelta", to wit:
Beginning at a point on the South-
erly City limits. said point being
opposite station 155 } 80.84 on the
westerly right-of-way line of State

SECTION 2. That the City Clerk
of said City is hereby authorized and
directed to file a certified copy of
this ordinance In the office of the
Secretary of State of the State of
California: giving the date of its
passage; and from and after the date
of filing of said document in the of-
fice of said Secretary of State the
annexation of such t(rritory' s0 pro-
posed to be annexed and described
herein shall be deemed to be and
shall be Completed. and thence forth
such annexed territory shall be, to
all intents and purposes, a part of
the City of National City, and suet,
annexed territory shall be taxed to
pay Its proportionate share of any
hi debtcd ness or liability of the City
of National City contracted prior to
or existing a: the time of the an-
nexation thereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk
be, and said City Clerk Is hereby
further authorized and directed to
file In the office of the Recorder of
the County of San Diego an affida-
vit staring that all requirements of
the laws pertaining to ti:e proceedings
for the annexation of the territory
he reinabove In Section 1 described
have been complied with, which said
affidavit stall be accompanied by a
certified copy of the boundary de-
scription as set forth in said pro-
ceedings and also by u map delineat-
ing such boundary, as required by
Sections 34080 and 31081 of the Gov-
ernment Code of the State of Cali-
fornia.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is
r.ereby titre::.ed to cause this Ordi-
nance to he published once in the
National City News, a, newspaper
printed and published in said City.

STJCTION 5. This ordinance shall
take effect and be In force on the:
31st day after the date of its final
passage.
