AN ORDIN:INCI.1 APPROVING TIIE
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY, ('ALIFORNIA,
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY, IN THE COUNTY OF
SAN DIEGO, STATE OF CALIFOR-
NIA, DESIGNATED AS "EI. CLID
RANCHO".
WHEREAS, on the twentieth day of
July. 1930. the City- Council of the
City of National City. California pur-
suant to Section No. 35310 of the Gov-
ernment Cade of the State of Califor-
nia, Initiated proceedings for the an-
nexation to, Incorporation and inclu-
sion in the City of National City of
certain uninhabited territory hereinaf-
ter described, In the County of San
Diego. State of California, and desig-
nated as "Euclid Rancho", pursuant
to the annexation of the uninhabited
territory Act of 1939, as eended: and
R'IHEltl?AS, pursuant to the terms
and provisions of said annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as
amended. the Council of the City of
National City, at a regular meeting.
held on the twentieth day of July, 19:HI,
adopted a resolution giving notice of
the proposed annexation. which resolu-
tion described the boundaries of the
territory so proposed to he annexed to
the City of National City. :and desig-
nated such territory as "Euclid Ran-
cho": and said resolution provided for
a. hearing to he held on the fifteenth
day of August, 19,50, atthe hour of
S:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers
at the City Hall. National City, Cali-
fornia.. at a regular meeting of the
City Cnuneil of said City. at which
time any person owning real proper-
ty within such territory proposed to
be annexed and having any objections
to the Proposed annexation. might ap-
pear before said City Connell and show
cause why such territory should not be
so annexed: and
WHEREAS, the City- Clerk of the
City of National City cursed a copy
of said resolution to be published once
a week for two .auccesstte weeks prior
to said fifteenth day of lugusl, 1950.
In the National City News, a weekly
newspaper of general circulation, pub-
lished In said City, to -writ: J'lton the
fourth day of August, 1930. and upon
the eleventh day of August. 1950: :and
'WHERE. -AS. on the fifteenth day of
Aus-tttt, 1930, at 4:00 I'.M'. at a regu-
tar meeting of the City Cnuneil of said
City. it %vas found that no protests
were filed against such proposed an-
nrx:ulun.
NOW. THEREFORE. the Ctty Coun-
cil of the City of National City, Coli-
forraa. ::ors ordain as follows:

the City of National City hereby ap-
proves the annexation to ;he City of
National City of the follow'Itis destt!b-
ed territory situated in the Court' of
San Diego. State of California, 1 s'g-
naterl as "Euclid Itancao", to -wit:

ginning.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of
said City Is hereby authorized and tit-
rected to file a certified copy of this
ordinance in the Office of the Secre-
tary of State of the State of Califor-
nia: giving the date of its passage:
and from and after the data of filing of
said document in the office of said
Secretary of State the annexation of
such territory so proposed to be an-
nexed and described herein shall be
deemed to be and shall be completed.
and thence forth such annexed terri-
tory shall be. to all intents and pur-
poses a part of the City of National
City, and such annexed territory shall
be taxed to pay its proportionate share
of any indebtedness or liability of the
City of National City contracted prior
to or existing at the time of Ole an-
nexation thereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk be,
and said City Clerk is hereby further
authorized and directed to file in the
Office of the Recorder of the CtnutU'
of San Diego an affidavit stating that
all requirements of the laws pertain-
ing to the proceedings for the annexa-
tion of the territoy hereinabove in
Section 1 described have been com-
plied with, which said affidavit shall
be accompanied by a certified copy of
the hou nda ry desert ption as set forth in
said proceedings and also by a map
delineating such boundary. as required
by Sections 340g0 and 3itt.t of the
Government Code of the State of Cali-
fornia.
SECTION 1. The City Clerk is here-
by directed to cause this Ordinance to
be published once in the National CRY
Newvs, a newspaper printed and pub-
lished In said City. and of general cir-
culation therein.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall
take effect and be to force on the 3Ist
day after the date of its f;na! passage.

City Counetl of the City of National
City. California, this 3rd clay of Oc-
tober. 1950, by the following vote, to -
wit :
AYES: Councilmen Carrigan, Clarke,
Curry. Hart. Matthews.
NAYS: Councilmen None.
