ORDINANCE NO. SO4
AN ORDINANCE DISAPPROVING
THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF NATIONAL. CITY, CALIFOR-
NIA, OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY, IN THE COUNTY OF
SAN DIEGO, STATE OF CALIFOR-
NI:1, DESIGNATED AS "SUNNY
KNOLLS."
WHEREAS. on the first day of Aug-
ust, 1950, the City Council of the City
of National City. California. pursuant
to Section No. 35310 of the Government
Code of the State of California. initi-
ated proceedings for the annexation to.
Incorporation and Inclusion in the
City of National Clty of certain unin-
habited territory hereinafter described,
1n the County of San Diego, State of
California., and designated as "Sun-
ny Knolls", pursuant to the annexation
of the Uninhabited Territory Act of
1939, as amended: and
WHEREAS. Pursuant to the terms
and provisions of said annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, as
amended, the Council of the City- of
National City, at a regular meeting,
held on the first day of August. 11150,
a lop led a resolution giving notice of
the proposed annexation, which reso-
lutions described the boundaries of the
territory so proposed to he annexed to
the City of National City, and desig-
nated such territory as "Sunny -
Knolls". and said resolution provided
for a hearing to be held on the fifth
day of September. 1950, at the hour
of S:tal P.➢i., In the Council Chambers
at the: City Hall, National City, Cali-
fornia, at which time any person own-
ing real property within such territory
proposed to be annexed and having
any objections to the proposed annexa-
tion. might appear before said City
Council and show cause why such ter-
ritory should not be so annexed: and
WHEREAS, the City Clark of the
City of National City caused a copy
of said resolution to be published once
a week for two successive weeks prior
to said fifth day of September, 1950,
in the National City News, a weekly
newspaper of general circulation pub-
lished in said City. to wit: Coon the
twenty-fifth day of August. 1950. and
upon the first day of SeP(eur. bee, 1950:
and
WHEREAS, on the fifth day of
September, 1950, at S:00 P. M., :t a
regular meeting; of the City Comtcil
of said City, It was found that no
protests were filed against such pro-
posed annexations: and

Persons owning majority of the real
property within said territory filed
written protests against said annexa-
tin :tad protested the adoption of an
ordinance approving said annexation
and the City Council finds that a
majority of the persons owning said
!foal property as well as those own-
ing a. majority of said real property
have protested said annexation.
NOW 'I'1 Ile:I:I•:FOitis, the City Coun-
cil of the City of National City, Cali-
fornia, dues ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of
the Clty of National City hereby dis-
approves the annexation to the Cite
of National City of the following de-
scribed territory situated in the Coun-
ty of San Diego, State of California,
designated as "Sunny Knolls," to wit:
Beginning at the southeast corner
of Lot 70 of a portion of the Ex-
Mlssion lands of San Diego. ac-
cording to the map thereof No. 283
on (11e in the Office of the Recorder
of San Diego County, said cornet
being on the northerly line of the
City of National City; thence south-
westerly along Said northerly boon•
dory line of the City of Na-
tional City-. being along the south-
erly line of Lots 09 & 70 of
said Ex•Misslon Lands of San Die-
go, to the southerly prolongation of
the westerly- line of Svheuerman
I Eights, according to trite map there-
of, No. 2227, on file In said Re-
corder's Office of San Diego Coun-
ty: thence Northerly along said
Southerly prolongation and said
Westerly line of said 5ubdivlsion
to the northwest corner thereof.
thence easterly along the north lime
of said Scheuertn n Heights Subdi-
vision, to the west line of said Lot
70. thence north along said west
line of Lot 70 to the southerly
boundary line of the City of San
Diego, thence easterly, northerly'
and easterly along said southerly
boundary line of the City of San
Diego to the east line of said Lot
70: thence southerly along said east
line of said Lot 711 to the print of
beginning.
SECTION 2. The City Cleric is here-
by directed to cause this Ordinance to
be published once in the National Cit-
New+, ;t newspaper printed and pub-
lished in said City. and of general cir-
culation therein.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall
take r tfect and be in force on the 31st
day after the date of Its final passage.
