The City Council of the City of National City DOES ORDAIN as fol- lows: Section 1. It shall he unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to operate, maintain or keep in the City or National City any facility or equipment for the refrigerated stor- age for compensation of meat not owned by the person nmintaining the refrig a ra Lion equipment. Section 7 1-)very refrigeration plant or locker plant where meat is stored shall be maintained and operated in a clean and sanitry manner. Every such plant shall be open at all times to Inspection by the Department of Public health. Section 3. ;111 uni nspccted beef, veal or lamb kept or placed ht any re- frigeration plant or locker plant shall he stamped immediately upon arrival with a roller stamp so as to be legi- bly marked "Cninspectevl Meat —Not For Sale." All uninsp'cted pork kept or placed In any refrigeration plant shall be stamped Immediately upon arrival with a hot stamp so as to he legibly marketed "Cninsapected M eta t—Not For Salo." Every stamp required by this section shall also legibly show the plant permit num- ber issued the plant by the Depart- ment of Health. Section 4. Every refrigeration plant or locker plant shall accept and store beef, veal and lamb carcasses only when the hide accompanies the car - Every refrigeration plant, or locker plant shall keep a record of the d lspos1 Lion of each tide which record shall be available at all times to the Department of Health and the State Fide and Brand Inspector. Section 5. Every refrigeration plant or locker plant handling inspected and un'nspected beef, Iamb, pork or veal shall post with the Department of Public Health a surety or cash bond In the surn of $1,000 conditioned upml the compliance by the permittee with all the terms and provisions of this ordinance and subject to forfeiture upon the con Viet ion of the permd ttoe of violation of any provision of this mndin:uxe. Section 0, Every refrigeration plant o locker plant handling or process- ing Inspected and unlnsincted meat shall designate different days of the week upon which inspected mint will be processed and unlnsins'ted nwat will be processed, and shall notify the Department of Health in writing or such designation and of any change thereof together with the effective :late of such change. It Is unlawful for any refrigeration plant or locker plant to process both inspected 51)1 un'nspcted meat on the same day. except with the permission of the National City Department of Health. w;tion T.
