ISO OF SAID CITY BY ADDING THERE- TO SECTION 4.3 The City Council of the City of National City, California does ordain as follows:: Whereas, pursuant to the terms and provisions of the Conservation and Planning Act, and pursuant to the terms and provisions of Ordinance No. 750 of the Clty of National City, Cali- fornia, the Planning Commission of said City did initiate proceedings to re -zone certain territory hereinafter described, and Whereas. pursuant to due and legal notice, hearings were held by said Planning Commission on the 26th day of November, 1951, on the loth day of December. 1951 and on the 19th day of December, 1951 and by the City Council of said City on the 4th day of March, 1952 in the council chambers of said City, and Whereas, the said Planning Commis- sion of said Clty has regularly and duly certified to said City Council its report, and Whereas, the City Council after hear- ing and considering all the evidence, does hereby find that the public in- terest is now, and will be, best served by the creation of the following zones as recommended by the said Planning Commission for that territory herein- after described. NOW THEREFORE, the City Coun- cil of the City of National City, Cali- fornia, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 4.3 is hereby added to Ordinance No. 750 and shall read as follows: "Section 4.3. That notwithstanding anything to the contrary in Ordi- nance No. 750, as amended, there Is hereby established and adopted. (A) An R-2 district for the fol- lowing property situated in the City of National City, California and more particularly described as follows: 1. The R-1 area originally set forth in Ordinance No. 750 and bounded as follows: On the South by Fourth Street, on the West by National Avenue, on the North by Division Street, and on the East by highland Avenue, all in the City of Na- tional City, California. Except the following: Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 15, 16, 17, and 18 and 19 of Thelen Sub- division and a portion of 10 acre lot 2 Quarter Section 155, lying South of First Street, lying west of a line 125 feet Easterly of "B" Ave, ly- ing North of a line 125 feet South of First Street and ly- ing East of a line 290 feet East of National Avenue. Al- so except the following: "That property bound on the West by the West line of "F" Ave- nue, bound on the North by a line 125 feet North of First Street, bound on the East by a line 90 feet West of High- land Avenue, and bound on the South by the alley be- tween First Street and Second Street. 2. The R-1 zoned area originally set forth in Ordinance No. 750 and bounded as follows: On the South by Eighth Street, on the West by Highland Avenue, on the North by Division Street, and on the East by Palm Ave- nue; all in the City of National City, California, except the fol- lowing: A portion of the North-west Quarter of 20 acre Lot 1, Quarter Section 131, lying West of the extended center 11ne of "I" Avenue. 3. The R-1 and R-1-A zoned area originally set forth In Ordi- nance No. 750 and bounded as follows: On the South by Eighth Street, on the West by Palm Avenue. on the North by an east -west line 125 feet South of the south line of Fourth Street and running parallel to Fourth Street and on the East by a north -south line 330 feet West of the west line of Harbi- son Avenue and running paral- lel with IIarbison Avenue. 4. The property lying South of the center line of Sixteenth Street. East of a line running 135 feet. East of and parallel with "I" Avenue, North of a line running 125 feet North of and parallel with 18th Street. and West of a line running 125 feet West of and parallel with Palm Avenue. 5. All II-1 zoned property lying South of a line parallel to and 125 feet South of 18th Street, lying West of a line running parallel to and 125 feet East of "F" Avenue, lying North of 30th Street, and lying East of a line 125 feet East of and par- allel to "A" Avenue. 6. That property lying South of a 11ne running parallel with and 125 feet South of 18th Street, lying West of the alleys between "K" Avenue and "L" Avenue, lying North of 24th Street, and lying East of the alleys between "I" Avenue and "J" Avenue. (B) An R-4 district for the follow- ing property situated in the City of National City, California and more particularly described as follows: 1. Lots 4. 5. 6, 7, 8, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 of Thelen Sub -division and a portion of 10 acre Lot 2 quarter Section 155, lying South of First Street, lying West of a line 125 feet Easterly of "B" Avenue, lying North of a line 125 feet South of First Street. and lying East of a line 290 feet East of National Avenue. 2. All that R-1 zoned property, being a portion of the North- west quarter of 20 acre Lot 1, Quarter Section 131, lying West of the extended center line of "I" Avenue. 3. That property lying East of "L" Avenue, South of 8th Street. West of a line running 135 feet West of and parallel to Palm Avenue and North of a line running 125 feet South of and parallel to 8th Street. 4. That property lying North of 8th Street, lying East of the extended center line of "L" Avenue, lying West of a line running parallel with and 135 feet West of Palm Avenue, and lying South of a line running 125 feet North of and parallel with 8th Street. 5. That property lying North of 18th Street, lying East of the extended center line of "I" Avenue, lying South of a line parallel to and 125 feet North of I8th Street, and lying West of a line parallel to and 125 feet West of Palm Avenue. 6. All existing R-1 and R-2 zoned areas bounded on the North by 8th Street, on the East by Highland Avenue, on the South by 18th Street, and on the West by National Avenue. 7. That property lying South of 18th Street, lying West of the alley between "0" Avenue and Palm Avenue, lying North of a line running parallel to and 125 feet South of 18th Street, and lying East of the alley between "I" Avenue and "J" Avenue. SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in effect on the 31st day from and after its final pass- age. SECTION 3: That before the expira- tion of 15 days after its passage, the City Clerk of said City shall cause. this Ordinance to be published once in the National City News. a newspa- per of weekly circulation, printed and published in the City of National City, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 6th day of May, 1952, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Clarke, Hart, In- galls, McClure, Carrigan.
