HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1952-834 Street vacation (Special)ORDINANCE NO. 834 AN ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET, TO -WIT: A PORTION OF "O" AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALI- FORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of National City, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of National City. California, hereby declares its intention to vacate and close the following described por- tion of "0' Avenue as shown on Map thereof No. 168 of National City on file in the Office of the Recorder of San Diego County, California, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northerly line of 8th Street north to the South- erly line of 7th Street, in 40 Acre Lot 2, Quartersection 131, Rancho de la Nacton, as shown by Of- ficial City Map. SECTION 2: Time for hearing of any or all persons Interested in or ob- jecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 8:00 PM. on the 5th day of August, 1952, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, `rational City, California. SECTION 3: Particulars as to the proposed vacation, are as set forth in that certain map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City. SECTION 4: The City Council has determined that the public con- venience and necessity require the reservation of easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California: that this proceeding is taken subject to such reservations and exceptions. SECTION 5: The Superintendent of Streets of the City of National City, California, is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and place of hearing, in accordance with law. SECTION 6: That, before the expira- tion of 15 days after its passage, the City Clerk of the City of National City, California, shall cause this ordinance to be published once in the National City News. a news- paper of weekly circulation, print- ed and published in the City of National City, California. SECTION 7: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on the thirty-first day after its passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 17th day of June, 1952, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Hart, Ingalls, Mc- Clure, Carrigan.
