No. 838 ORDINANCE NO. 83a AN ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE PORTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS, TO -WIT: A PORTION OF "E" AVENUE, A POR- TION OF 17TH STREET, ONE UN- NAMED ALLEY IN BLOCK I OF MORGAN'S SUBDIVISION, AND THE UNNAMED ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 1 AND 2 OF GILMORE & JOSSELYN'S SUBDIVISION, ALL IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY. CALIFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of National City, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of National City, California, hereby de- c)ares its intention to vacate and close the following described Portion of "E" Avenue, portion of 17th Street, one un- named alley in Block 1 of Morgan's Sub -division, and the unnamed alleys in Blocks 1 and 2 of Gilmore & Josse- lyn's Subdivision. all as shown on Map thereof No. 166 of National City on file in the office of the Recorder of San Diego County. California, and more particularly described as follows: That portion of "E" Avenue be- tween the southerly line of 16th Street and the northerly line of 18th Street; and That portion of 17th Street between the easterly line of "D" Avenue and the westerly line of "F" Avenue: and That unnamed alleyway within Block I of Morgan's Subdivision from the southerly line of 17th Street to the northerly line of 18th Street; and That unnamed alley within Block 1 and that unnamed alley within Block 2, both in Gilmore & Josselyn's Sub- division, all in the City of National City. California. SECTION 2: That time for hearing of any or all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation is hereby set for 8:00 o'clock P.M. on the Ith day of October. 1952, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall. Na- tional City, California. SECTION 3: Particulars as to the proposed vacation are as set forth in that certain rnap or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City. SECTION 4: The City Council has determined that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California: that this pro- ceeding is taken subject to such res- ervations and exceptions. SECTION 5: The Superintendent of Streets of the City of National City. California. is hereby directed to posi notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and place of hearing. in accordance with law. SECTION 6: That, before the expira- tion of 15 days after its passage, the City Clerk of the City of National City. California, shall cause this ordinance to be published once in the National City News, a newspaper of weekly circulation, printed and published in the City of National City. California. SECTION 7: This Ordinance shall be in hill force and effect on the thirty-first day after its passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 12th day of August, 1952, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen McClure, Sarn, Carrigan.
