HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1953-848 Street vacation (Special)Ord. 848— ORDINANCE NO. 848 AN ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE PORTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS, TO -WIT: A PORTION OF WILSON AVENUE AND A PORTION OF 12TH STREET, IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL of CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, California, does or- dain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of National City, California, hereby de- clares its intention to vacate and close the following described portion of WILSON AVENUE and a portion of 12TH STREET as shown on Map there- of No. 348 of National City on file in the office of the Recorder of San Diego County, California. and more particu- larly described as follows, to -wit: That portion of Wilson Avenue ly- ing between the North line of 13th Street and the South line of llth Street, and, that portion of 12th Street lying between the Easterly line of Taft Avenue to a distance 100 feet Easterly of the East Line of Wilson Avenue, National City, Cali- fornia. SECTION 2: Time for hearing oft any or all persons interested in or ob- jecting to the proposed vacation. is hereby set for 8:00 P.M. on the 21st day of July, 1953, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, National City, California. SECTION 3: Particulars as to the proposed vacation, are as set forth in that certain n:ap or plan on f11e in the office of the City Clerk of City of National City. SECTION 4: The City Council has determined that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; that this pro- ceeding is taken subject to such res- ervations and exceptions. SECTION 5: The Superintendent of Streets of the City of National City, California, is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and pace of hearing, in accordance with law. SECTION 6: That. before the expira- tion of fifteen (15) days after its passage. the City Clerk of the City of National City, California, shall cause this Ordinance to be published once in the National City News, a newspaper of weekly circulation, printed and published in the City of National City, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City. California. this 2nd day of June, 1953, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Carrigan, Mc- Clure, Parchen, Sarn. Hart.
