AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
NATIONAL CITY AMENDING
ORDINANCE No. 656 OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, BY
.])DING THERETO SECTIONS
1 603-G and 1603-H
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALI-
FORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOL-
LOWS:
SECTION 1: That the Building
Code mentioned in Ordinance No. 650
shah be supplemented and amended
by the insertion of the following Sec-
tion to be known as SECTION
1603-G:
SECTION 1603-G: Before is-
suing a permit to move any
building into the City of Na-
tional City the building In-
spector may require the owner
ur his agent to provide a cer-
tified statement by a qualified
specialty contractor currently
licensed by the State of Cali-
fornia, to the effect that such
building is free from fungus,
termites and similar defects:
and if such building is to be
used for residential or com-
mercial purposes the Building
Inspector snail make an in-
spection thereof to ascertain if
it can be made to conform to
this code. The fee for such
inspection by the Building In-
spector, shall be $25.00, and
shall be paid before the inspec-
tion is made.
SECTION IL: That the Building
Code mentioned in Ordinance No.
6156 shall be supplemented and
amended by the insertion of the fol-
lowing section to be known as SEC-
TION 1603-H:
SECTION 1603-H: Whenever
an existing building, house or
structure is moved from its
present location to a new lo-
ation within the City of Na-
tional City, the said building,
house or structure, shall be
made to comply and conform
to all laws and ordinances of
the City of National City. ap-
plicable to new buildings,
houses or structures.
Any persons who desire to
move any buildings, houses.
or structures, whatsoever, shall
file with the City Building In-
spector, prior to such moving,
an application stating his in-
tention, the purposes and the
extent of alterations and re-
habilitations necessary to en-
able said building, house or
structure to conform to the
Ordinances of the City of Na-
tional City, relating to new
structures in the new location.
Said application shall be made
upon blanks provided therefor
by the Building Inspector. An
application for a permit to
mo),e any building. house or
structure may be denied by
said Building Inspector, if in
his opinion the said building,
house or structure cannot be
fully altered or rehabilitated
to conform with the laws and
ordinances of the City of Na-
tional City, or for any other
a11d reason. In the event
that the Building Inspector ap-
proses said application he
shall issue a permit for the
moving of said building, house
or structure described in said
application. If the Building In-
spector shall deny said appli-
cation, the applicant may pre-
sent the same to the City Plan-
ning Commission for decision.
The procedural, rules regarding
application for Special Zoning
permits in Ordinance 662 of
the Ordinance of the City of
National City, together with
the right of appeal, shall con-
trol. Except that no notice
to adjacent property owners
regarding said application for
moving the aforesaid structure
need be given.
SECTION III: The City Clerk of
t'ae City of National City, California,
is hereby directed to publish this
ordinance once in the National City
News, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed and published in
the City of National City, California,
and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect on the thirty-first
day after its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the
City Council of the City of National
City, California, this 22nd day of
January, 1946, by the following
vote, to -wit:
AYES : Councilmen C h r i s t m a n,
Cordingly, Newberry, Thatcher, Fritz.
NAYS: Councilmen None
ABSENT: None
