WHEREAS, the owners of the fol- lowing described property have pe- titioned the City Council of the City of National City for annexation of toe said property, and WHEREAS, the said property is uninhabited, and WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the City Council set the same for hearing at the Council Chambers, 3 r'Hall, National 00 o'clock P.M, the 19th day of July, 1946, and hearing was regularly herd on said date and no one protesting the said annexation and the said property owners having consented in writing to pay tneir pro- portionate share of the prior indebt- edness of said city; The property heretofore referred to is described as follows: The S/W 1/4 of Lot 65 Ex Mis- sionc. Part of Lot 72 Ex Mission Lands, beginning at the S / W Corner of said Lot 72 and run- ning North along West line thereof to the N / W Corner thereof; thence East 600 ft.; thence South to the line of Rancho de la Nacion Line; thence Southwesterly to the point of beginning. Map No. 283 filed March 9, 1878. The North 459 ft. of that por- tion of Lot Sixty-four in the Ex Mission Lands of San Diego, known as Horton's Purchase according to Map thereof No. 283, filed in the office of the County Diego Recorder CountyMarch 9,s 18778,-de- n scribed as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot Sixty-four; thence running North along the East ine of said Lot Sixty-four. 52 rods; thence West on a line parallel with the South line of said Lot Sixty-four, 40 rods to a point; thence at right angles South to the Northerly line of the National Rancho, said point being also in the Southerly line of Fractional Lot Seventy-two; thence Northeasterly along the said RanchoorNortherly the line of National pointof begin- ning. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of National City, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The following de- scribed property is hereby annexed to the City of National City and desig- nated ANNEX NO. 1; SECTION 2: The boundaries of the aforesaid described property are set forth as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot. 65, in the Ex Mission Lands of San Diego, known as Horton's Purchase according to Map No. 283 filed in the office of the County Re- corder of San Diego County. California and dated March 9, 1878; thence Northerly along the West line of said Lot 65 to an intersection with the East- West Centerline of said Lot 65; thence Easterly along said Centerline of Lot 65 and con- tinuing to the Center of Lot 64 of said Horton's Purchase; said point being also on the West line of the North 459 feet of that portion of said Lot (4 described elsewhere; thence Northerly along the North - South Centerline of Lot 64 to an intersection with the North line of said a.bovementioned North 459 feet of said Lot 64; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of said North 459 feet to the East line of said Lot 64; then Southerly to the South line of said North a0 feet; thence Westerly along the South line of said North 459 feet to the North -South Cen- terline of Lot 64; then South- erly along the North -South Centerline of said Lot 64 and running through Lot 72 to the Northerly line of the National Rancho; thence Southwesterly along the Northerly line of said National Rancho to the inter- section with that line common to the West line of said Lot 72 and the East line of Millertown Sub -division according to Map 1608 on file in the office of the County Recorder, San Diego County, Calif.; thence Norther- ly along said line to the South- erly line of said Lots 64 and 65 which point is a common corner to said Lots 64, 65 and 72 and said MIllertown Sub -division; thence Westerly along t h e Southerly line of said Lot 05, said line being also the North- erly line of said Millertown Subd. to the point or place of beginning. DESCRIPTION of the above mentioned North 459 feet of that portion of Lots 64 and 72: The North 459 feet of that portion of Lot 64 in the Ex Mis- sion Lands of San Diego, known as Horton's Purchase according to Map thereof No. 283, filed in the office of the County Re- corder of said San Diego Coun- ty, March 9, 1878 described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 64; thence running North along the East line of said Lot 64, 52 rods; thence West on line par- allel with the South line of said Lot 64, 40 rods to a point; thence at right angles South to the Northerly line of the Na- tional Rancho, said point being also in the Southerly line of Fractional Lot 72; thence Northeasterly along the said Northerly line of National Rancho to the point of begin- ning. SECTION 3: The aforedescribed property is located in the County of San Diego, State of California, and is not within the limits of any incorpora- ted area; it is contiguous to the city limits of the City of National City. SECTION 4. The aforesaid proper- ty is hereby zoned as an "R1" zone as defined in Ordinance No. 622 of the Ordinances of the City of Nation- al City and henceforth said property shall comply with all the terms and conditions of said ordinance respect- ing "R1" zone. SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on the thirty-first day after passage. SECTION 6: The City Clerk shall cause this Ordinance to be published once in the National City News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of National City. SECTION 7: The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this Ordi- nance to be recorded in the office of the Secretary of State of the State of California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 20th day of Aug- ust, 1946, by the following vote, to - wit: AYES: Councilmen Cordingly, New- berry.
