ORDINANCE NO. 749
AN ORDINANCE OF INTENTION
TO VACATE AND CLOSE A POR-
TION OF A PUBLIC STREET, TO -
WIT: 25TH STREET IN THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CAL-
IFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL of the City
of National City, California does or-
dain as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council of
National City, California, hereby de-
clares the intention to vacate and
close the following described portion
of 25th Street, in the City of Na-
tional City, California.
"The northerly 10 feet of 25th
Street adjoining Lot 10, Block 1
of Smith and Plante's Subdivision
of 10 Acre Lot 1, Quarter Section
152, according to Map No. 1075
on file in the Recorders Office of
San Diego County, California and
extending from the easterly line
of National Avenue to the westerly
line of the alley in said Block 1.
Also the northerly 10 feet of 25th
Street adjoining Lot 11, of said
Block 1 and extending from the
easterly line of said alley to the
westerly line of "A" Avenue.
Also the southerly 10 feet of 25th
Street adjoining Lot 1, Block 1,
Smith and Plante's subdivision of
10 Acre Lot 2, Quarter Section
152 according to Map No. 103 on
fLe in the Recorder's Office of
San Diego County, California and
extending from the easterly line
of National Avenue to the west-
erly line of the alley in said
Block 1.
Also the southerly 10 feet of 25th
Street adjoining Lot 20, of said
Block 1 and extending from the
easterly line of said alley to the
westerly line of "A" Avenue."
SECTION 2: Time for hearing of
any or all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation,
is hereby set for 8:00 P. M., on the
loth day of October, 1948, in the City
Council Chambers in the City Hall,
National City, California.
SECTION 3: For particulars as to
the proposed vacation, are set forth
in that certain map or plan on file
in the office of the City Clerk, of the
City of National City.
SECTION 4: The City Council has
determined that the pubile conven-
ience and necessity require the reser-
vation of easements and rights of way
for structures enumerated in Section
8330 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 5: T)e Superintendent
of Streets of the City of National
City, is hereby directed to post no-
tice of the passage of this Ordinance
and the time and place for hearing,
in accordance with law.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of th(
City of National City shall cause this
Ordinance to be published twice in
the National City News, a weekly
newspaper printed a.J published in
the City of National City.
SECTION 7: This Ordinance shall
be in full force and effect on the
thirty-first day after its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the
City Council of the City of National
City, California, this 14th day of
September, 1948, by the following
vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen Adams, Curry,
Matthews, Thatcher, P'ritz.
NAYS: Councilmen None
ABSENT: None
