HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1949-759 Street vacation (Special)759 ORDINANCE NO. 759 AN ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE A POR- TION OF A PUBLIC STREET, TO -WIT: 25TH STREET IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CAL- IFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of National City, California does or- dain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council of National City, California, hereby de- clares the intention to vacate and close the following described portion of 25th Street, in the City of Nation- al City, California. "The northerly 10 feet of 25th Street adjoining Lot 10, Block 1 of Smith and Plante's Subdivision of 10 Acre Lot 1, Quarter Section 152, according to Map No. 1075 on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego County, California and extending from the easterly line Of National Avenue to the wester- ly line of the alley in said Block 1. Also the northerly 10 feet of 25th Street adjoining Lot 11, of said Block 1 and extending from the easterly line of said alley to the westerly line of "A" Avenue. Also the southerly 10 feet of 25th Street adjoining Lot 1, Block 1, Smith and Plante's subdivision of 10 Acre Lot 2, Quarter Section 152 according to Map No. 103 on file in the Recorder's Office of San Diego County, California and extending from the easterly line of National Avenue to the wester- ly line of the alley in said Block 1. Also the southerly 10 feet of 25th Street adjoining Lot 20, of Said Block 1 and extending from the easterly line of said alley to the westerly line of "A" Avenue." SECTION 2: Time for hearing of any or all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, is hereby set for 8 :00 P.M., on the 7th day of June, 1949, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, National City, California. SECTION 3: For particulars as to the proposed vacation, are set forth in that certain map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk, of the City of National City. SECTION 4: The City Council has determined that the public conveni- ence and necessity require the reser- vation of easements and rights of way for structures enumerated in Section 8330 of the Streets and High- ways Code of the State of California. SECTION 5: The Superintendent of Streets of the City of National City, is hereby directed to post no- tice of the passage of this Ordin- ance and the time and place for hear- ing, in accordance with law. SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of National City shall cause this Ordinance to be published twice in the National City News, a weekly newspaper printed and published in the City of National City. SECTION 7: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on the thirty-first day after its passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 12th day of April, 1949, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Adams, Curry, Matthews, Thatcher, Fritz.
