HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1949-774 Street vacation (Special)774 ORDINANCE NO. 774 AN ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET, TO -WIT: "R" AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of National City, California, DOES OR- DAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of National City, California, here- by declares its intention to vacate and close the following described portion of "K" Avenue in the City of National City, California. "The Easterly 10 feet and the Westerly 10 feet of "K" Avenue from the Southerly line of 18th Street to the Northerly line of 20th Street, and from the Southerly line of 20th Street to the Northerly line of 21st Street, and from the South- erly line of 21st Street to the Northerly line of 22.nd Street, and from the Southerly line of 22nd Street to the Northerly line of 23rd Street, and from the Southerly line of 23rd Street to the Northerly line of 24th Street." SECTION 2: Time for hearing of any or all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, is hereby set for 8:00 o'clock P.M., on the 17th day of January, 1950, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, National City, California. SECTION 3: For particulars as to the proposed vacation, are set forth in that certain map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City, California. SECTION 4: The Superintendent of Streets of the City of National City, California, is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and place for hearing in accordance with law. SECTION 5: The City Clerk of the City of National City, California, shall cause this Ordinance to be published twice in the National City News, a weekly newspaper printed and pub- lished in the City of National City, California. SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall be In full force and effect on the thirty- first day after its passage. PASSED AND ADOPriiD by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 6th day of De- cember, 1949, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Adams, Curry, Matthews, Fritz.
