HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1949-775 Street vacation (Special)775 ORDINANCE NO. 775 AN ORDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND CLOSE A POR- TION OF A PUBLIC STREET, TO -WIT 6TH STREET, IN THE CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CAL- IFORNIA. THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of National City, California, DOES ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of National City, California, hereby declares its intention to va- cate and close the following described portion of 6th Street in the City of National City, California. "The Southerly 10 feet of 6th Street from the easterly line of "L" Avenue produced to the West- erly line of "M" Avenue; and the Northerly 10 feet of 6th Street from the Easterly line of "L" Avenue to a point 140 feet East- erly therefrom; and the Northerly 10 feet of dth Street from a point 160 feet Easterly from the Easter- ly line of "L" Avenue to the Westerly line of "M" Avenue" SECTION 2. Time for hearing of any or all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation, is hereby set for 8 o'clock P.M., on the 7 day of February, 1950, in the City Council Chambers in the City Hall, National City, California. SECTION 3. For particulars as to the proposed vacation, are set forth in that certain map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of National City, California. SECTION 4. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of National City, California, is hereby directed to post notice of the passage of this Ordinance and the time and place for hearing in accordance with law. SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of National City, California, shall cause this Ordinance to be pub- lished twice in the National City News, a weekly newspaper printed and published in the Gity of Nation- al City, California. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on the thirty-first day after its passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 20th day of December, 1949, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Adams, Curry, Matthews, Thatcher, Fritz.
