AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1. OF ORDINANCE NO. 575; SECTION 1 of ORDINANCE NO. 581; SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 592; SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 601; AND SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 603 OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NATIONAL cm, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN OFFICERS AND PROVIDING FOR THE FIXING OF TIt COMPENSATION OF ALL OFFICERS AND E_:`.PLOYI ES OF SAID CITY BY RESOLUTION. The City Council of the City of National City, California, do ordain as follows: S CTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 575 of the Ordinances of said City, entitled "An Ordinance Amending Section 9 of Ordinance No. 540 of the City of National City, California, entitled tAn Ordinance r:epealing ordinances Nos. 496, 497, 507, 51u, 513 and 537 of the City of National City, California, and fixing the Compensation and its Mode of Payment of Certain Officers and rrnployees of said City,'" be amended to read as follows: Section 1. That Section 9 of ordinance No. 540 entitled "An Ordinance Repealing Ordinances Nos. 496, 497, 507, 510, 513 and 537 of the City of National City, California, and fixing the Compensation and its Mode of Payment of Certain Officers and Employees of said City," be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: That the City 2neineer shall receive such compensation as may from time to time be fixed and determined by the City Council of said City by Resolution. Said compensation to be paid by a ,:arrant drawn upon the Engineering Fund of said City, exclusive of all compensation allowed to his Deputies :mnc upon the appointment by hin of a deputy or deputies such deputies shall be paid such sums as may be fixed and determined by salt; City Council by Resolution for the time actually employed by said c:•eput;,r or deputies in the services of said City; provided that the City Council hereby reserires the right at any time by resolution, to limit the number or alter the compensation of such deputies. The City Engineer shall keep on file in his office a record of all his official acts and shall also keep in his office the on ;ina1 field notes, estimates, surveys, plats, profiles, maps and documents -hide by him in his official capacity relating; to streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, parks and places or any municipal improvement. :>ECTI Oi': 2 : That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 581 of the Ordinances of sic City entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 558 of the City of National City, California, adopted on the 1st days of December 1925,'T be amended to read as follows Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 558 adopted on tho 1st d.-.y of December 1925 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: That the Superintendent of Streets shall receive such monthly compensation for his services as may from tine to time be fixed and determined by the City Council of said City byesolution, That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby empowered to e:_7nloy for said City such men and teams as he may deem necessary from time to time to properly; carry on the work entrusted to him by la'.: and shall pa;* not to exceed such sums as may be designated from time to time by the City Council by Resolution for their services to be rendered to said City; provided, however, that the City Council hereby reserves the right by Resolution, to at any time limit or change the number or the compensation of said employees.
