AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 612 RELAT-
ING TO PURL IC DANCE
HALLS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY, CALI-
FORNIA, DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. That Section 17 of
Ordinance No. 612 adopted by the
City Council of the City of National
City, Cali_ornia, on the 20th day of
October, 1931, be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
'Section 17. All dance halls
for which a license has been
granted under Section 2 hereof
shall be closed and the place
cleared of guests, patrons and
employees between the hours
of 2 o'clock A. M. and 8 o'clock
A. M. of each day.
That no person, firm, club,
society or corporation giving,
holding, operating, conducting
or carrying on any dance at
any public place where the
general public is admitted and
tor which a permit there.or
may have been granted by the
Chief of Police under the pro-
visions of Section 4 hereof
shall allow or permit any danc-
ing to be carried on between
the hours of 2 o'clock A. M.
and 8 o'clock A. M. of each
day."
Set Lion 2. This Ordinance shall
take effect and be in force on the
trirty-first day from and after its
final passage.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall
certify to the passage of this Ordi-
nance and shall cause the same to
be published once in the National
City News within fifteen (15) days
alter its passage.

1934; that it was thereafter passed
and adopted by said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof on the
17th day of July, 1934, by the fol-
lowing vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen Cordingly,
Kilcrease, Thatcher, Bird.
NOES: Councilmen none.
ABSENT: Councilmen Warner.
