Section II. That demands of the c har'ar.er described in Sect. ion I auto bo presented against said City by the entry of same upon a claim to la. de'iguated "PAY lt(.11,I, FOR PERSONA I, SERVICES" avhieh shall be divided into appropriately num.hered headings in which shall :,ppe.u• the name:; of the officers and employee: or any other regu- lar current demands, the character the services performed, the date �n prrl'ortnesl, and the amount due therefor, with a place uppnr:it(' each name for the signature of such of- ficer and employee. it shall bet the duty of the City Clerk to prepare said clala, month- ly and said Clerk '.hall make oath upon said claim, ;n substance, that the claim and accounts shown thereon are correct and that it is realm against said Pity for the respective antou n is shown thereon and that the services specified were rendered and furnished the City and the t. nn post of the respective amounts shown has been paid. After the presentation of said rleim. it shall he audited by the City Council and upon the allow- ance thereof the Mayor shall draw a warrant upon the City Treasurer for the total amount shown on said claim. which warrant shall be countersigned by the (City Clerk and said warrant shall specify the purpose for which the same is drawn and the fund out of which it is to he pail. Said warrant shall he mado payable to the City Clerk who shall act as the disbursing of- ficer in the payment of the respec- tivu sum,t shown on said claim, to tho persons entitled thereto. &aid claim shall be numbered to corre- spond with the number of the war- rant issued for the aggregate amount thereof. Each officer an employee shall bu required to affix his signature opposite his name upon said claim at a receipt for his or her respec- tive compensation, .after all 'ants have been dls- htc•sed as shown upon said claim, s id City Clerk shall make further oath tlreretu that each of the re- : pect.ive sums shown on the claim have been actually disbursed and paid to the respective officers and employees and that the signatures appearing thereon are the genuine :gna.tures of such officers ur C111- p:ovees. Section III. That this Ordinance shall 'take effect and be in force nn the 31 st day frunl and after the dtto of its final passage. Section IV. That the City CIerk :-hall rcrtIfy to the passage of this Ordinanc6, and shall cause the same to he published once in the National City News within fifteen (lay: after its passage.
