ORDINANCE NO. 653
AN ORDINANCE CREATING
A MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT
BOND FUND OF 1937 FOR THE
CITY OF NATIONAL CITY,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of
the City of National City, Cali-
fornia have issued municipal im-
provement bonds dated February
20, 1937 and voted upon at a
municipal election held September
17, 1936. Said bonds have been
issued and purchased. The pur-
chase price of said bonds, par
value of said issue, to -wit, Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00),
and accrued interest amounting to
One Hundred Seventy-seven and
50/100 Dollars ($177.50), and
Fifty-one Dollars ($51.00) prem-
ium. Said money derived from the
sale of aforesaid municipal im-
provement bonds is to be used for
the construction, erection a n d
equipping of a municipal building
to be used as a City Hall in the
City of National City, California.
NOW THEREFORE, the City
Council of the City of National
City does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That there is here-
by created and established a muni-
cipal fund. It is established and
designated as a Municipal Bond
Fund of 1937 of the said City of
National City, California.
SECTION 2: That all the
money received from the sale of
the aforesaid municipal improve-
ment bonds dated February 20,
1937 and voted upon at a muni-
cipal election held September 17,
1936, in the amount of Twenty
Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00),
par value of said issue, accrued
interest amounting to One Hun-
dred Seventy-seven and 50/100
Dollars ($177.50), and Fifty-one
Dollars ($51.00) premium, shall
be paid in and credited to the
Municipal Bond Fund of 1937 of
said City of National City. All
funds credited to and impounded
in said Municipal Improvement
Bond Fund of 1937 shall be used
exclusively for the purpose of con-
structing, erecting and equipping
a municipal building to be used
as a City IIall in the City of Na-
tional City, California.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance
shall take effect and be in force
on the 31st day from and after
date of its final passage.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk
shall certify to the passage of
this Ordinance, and shall cause
the same to be published in the,
"National City News," a weekly
newspaper published and in gen-
eral circulation in the City of Na-
tional City, State of California,
within fifteen (15) days from and
after its final passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by
the City Council of the City of
National City, California, this
25th day of May, 1937, by the fol-
lowing vote, to -wit:
AYES: Councilmen Cordingly,
Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
