HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC ORD 1939-670 Amends § 14 of Ord. 508, traffic (Repealed by 827)q'5 f3 ' 0 ORDINANCE NO. 670 An ordinance amending Or- dinance No. 508 for the City of National City, California; "an Ordinance regulating travel and traffic upon the public streets in the City of National City, Califor- nia, and repealing Ordinance No. 333 of said City." The City Council of the City of National City, California, do or- dain: Section 1: Section 14 of Ordin- ance No. 508 of said City is here- by amended to read as follows: Section 14: "It shall be unlaw- ful for any driver, owner, or operator of any automobile, mo- torcycle, or other vehicle to per- mit or allow such vehicle to stand at right angles or ap- proximately so with the curb line upon any public street in the City of National City, pro- vided that all automobiles, mo- torcycles and other vehicles shall stand with the right front wheel of said vehicle not more than six inches from the curb line of said street, and with the vehicle standing at an angle of approximately thirty degrees to the curb line; provided that any vehicle in or upon any street within the City of National City may back up to the curb at thirty degrees angle to such curb while such vehicle is be- ing, actually loaded or unloaded; provided further that this sec- tion shall apply only to those streets which are marked for thirty degree angle parking, and the city council may by motion ins"ruct the City Engineer to mark such street or streets for thirty degree angle parking as the city council in its opinion shall deem expedient or advis- able. Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of National City is hereby directed to publish this Ordinance once in the National City News, a newspaper of general circula- tion, printed and published in the City of National City Cali- fornia, and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on the thirty-first day after its final passage. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of National City, California, this 28`.h day of December, 1939, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Bird. NAYS: Councilmen none. ABSENT: Councilman Warner. D. W. Bird, Mayor of the City of National City, California. ATTEST: Dale Smith, City Clerk.
